    Injuries

I see Doyle has caught Jason Balls rolling 4 week injury.

I guess most likely we will see him next year.

If things keep going as they're expected too... we might finally see Fixy in round 17, I reckon.

Saddo mentioned in his interview with Sydneyswans.com.au that Doyle is expected to return ~ round 16. So that is consistent.

does this mean that heath james is off the injury list now???

when i had a chat with him on the paul kelly tribute day he said that they were saying that he wouldnt play in the ressies until it was at the scg... so it might be next week he is playing again, if he is, im definitely making a day of it to see if he is the messiah

it is great to see sadders off the list as well... with LRT on there, he mighnt be risked, i really wanna see JM given another run...

only snapper, fixter and doyle left... could be 4 weeks... i read that the dockers have a full list to choose from, i wonder when the last time this was the case for us???

Rumour has it that Heath James will play this weekend in Wagga, now saying that I have probably jinxed him. Good Luck.

It would be fantastic to see Heath James get back out on the field again, but does anyone realistically think he can actually string together a number of games and become a regular player? He just seems way too brittle unfortunately.

                There have been others.

Matthew Croft at the doggies was a 4th pick - then an injury wasteland for 5 years with hamstrings and everything - went on to have a good career.

Could happen - if he can get fit.

                  GO HEATHY!!!!

You just never know. I'd be surprised to see him play senior footy this year... but if he can string some games together... put him back on the senior list. The Swans have persisted for 5 years for a reason... let's just hope that we get to see whatever it is they know about that has made them wait that long.

bar disaster or extreme form he wont be in the seniors this year... he has said that there is next to little chance to him playing seniors this year, which is fair enough i reckon... to wait this long and throw him back in the seniors only to risk another injury would be too risky... if he plays out the rest of the season in the ressies and then has a crack at senior selection next year after a full preseason behind him would mean he would be at full strength at least... good luck to him, he deserves it!!!

Is there any difference to playing him in the seniors or reserves in terms of getting injured ?
Its not like he crumbles to pieces with he encounters strong body contact or anything where you will find more of in the AFL. The problem is his hamstrings and he can easily do them in the reserves as in the seniors.

they could introduce him slowly in the ressies, where senior itd be all out... it was his knee last time as well...

Same again - the knee could go as easily in the reserves as the seniors, and IIRC his knee didnt even go in a footy match, it happened at a footy clinic. The bottom line is whatever grade of competition he plays the risk is equal.

u dont understand... in the seniors everyone should be fit as a fiddle, in the ressies he can play a quarter and then a half or whatever and nurse him into it, one step at a time... seniors is very differemt to ressies...

You dont seem to understand...the point I was making was that the risk of him getting injured is exactly the same him playing in the reserves, that is the point I am making, whereas you seem to think that if he goes into the seniors he is more at risk. The risk is EQUAL. Doesnt matter if he plays 5 minutes, a quarter a half whatever...in any grade of football...
