    Our Back Six

I am trying to think of a club ahead of us on the ladder that have a back six with the form similar or better than ours?

    Our Best Back Six are:

    Bolton Saddington Schauble
    Kennelly Barry Fixter

    in reserve: Powell
Matthews (more midfield but there if we need him)
    Nicks
    Seymour (just)
    James (come on little buddy)

Before the accusations fly, I do not see Warfe as a player of AFL standard any more.

Considering Fixter hasn't played a senior game all year, and Mathews has played all of them, the best back six

    Bolton Schuable Mathews
    Kennelly Saddington Barry

I think a lot of praise has to go to the defensive pressure provided by the midfield.

Yeah I think that Maxy has been excellent because more often than not, when there is no long-target, Maxy gets back and takes the kick short and boots it long to centre-wing and all of a sudden we're out of trouble!

Did that make sense or am I going dizzy?

I agree with ugg I think that is our best back 6 in the right positions.

I don't think Fixter will slide hes way back into the team as soon as hes ready, hes going to have to work hard considering he hasn't played a game this season.

I reckon Port's backline are in pretty good form:

          Poulton, Wakelin, Kingsley
          Wanganeen, Paxman, Montgomery
Captain Logic is not steering this tugboat.

            TheHood,

I refuse to argue the Warfe issue again.

I think you're being blinkered in your thinking, with regards to the backline. Brisbane's backline, as far as ability goes is much better and going equally as well as ours currently. With players such as Leppitsch, Michael, the Scott twins, Johnson and blokes like Lappin dropping back there.

Port Adelaide's backline is a little better because they have a couple of good key backmen, where as we struggle to find a FB and CHB, with any size and strength about them.

We're probably on par with the eagles' backline. The backline is doing very well at the moment, and I doubt that they can get any better, as they are all doing better than expected.

The big question is: Can they keep it up?

I would hardly think Mathews has played that much in defence this season, mainly the midfield
              Once was, now elsewhere
