Inside Football listed Luke Ablett, Amon Buchanan, Ben Fixter, Daniel McPherson as trade bait. And no Footy Show in Sydney due to the bloody tennis. So much for Channel 9 supporting AFL.

Interesting. I couldn't see anyone outside the VFL/SANFL picking up Mcpherson. Buchanan and Ablett could easily find they're way onto a trades list, but I couldn't see the club giving up on Fixy, unless there's some kind of problem going on there. -

I read IF just because it's about footy and there's not much else to read midweek but the quality of the research is often very very poor.Comment

Channel 9 should be shot for other reasons than those listed above. Any Star Trek fan would agree with me.The Destructive Dan Experience - Featuring Teal.

Ah.....Matthew Nicks, the new whipping boy. What happened to Rowan Warfe? Daniel McPherson? Jude Bolton? Ben Mathews? Brett Kirk? Michael O'Loughlin? Adam Goodes? There I was thinking that we were doing ok this season and that these tiresome threads could be put to sleep for a while. A tad presumptious. It's very hard to live in a studio apartment in San Jose with a man who's learning to play violin. That's what she told the police when she handed them the empty revolver.

Snajik - footy is a game where you are always thinking about the future... be it the next match, the next month, the next year, whatever... it's necessary to have an eye on what's just around the corner. Personally, I think the mid-season break is a good time to do this sort of thing... it has helped me to identify players to keep a special watch on, to see whether they have anything that will be worthwhile retaining on our list. If they do... fantastic. If they don't.... so long.
Perfect example from last year was Brett Kirk... when Roos took over (this exact time last year), Kirky didn't figure in my 2003 plans. He did enough to change my mind in the last 6 weeks of the season. The onus is on players being mentioned in these sorts of threads to do the same.
At the moment, I'm leaning towards keeping most of them. I can't possibly imagine Daniel McPherson being on the list next year, but other than that, I'm amenable to keeping anybody else. Obviously, that isn't about to happen, but I'm keeping my mind open. Having a good team allows us to be patient with some guys.We hate Anthony Rocca
We hate Shannon Grant too
We hate scumbag Gaspar
