And in Matthew's own words at the aftermatch today, he's playing "s hithouse".

    I'm on the Chandwagon!!!

If you cannot compete for the premiership, it's better to be young and exciting than middle-aged and dowdy.

So is he going to act on it and request that he be dropped to find his form in Canberra?

Just saw the bloke live today and really he is very ordinary from what I've seen, will just be another "brockman" is the best way I can sum up the whole situation.

          Hmm...

Still reckon he's a good cheap prospect... but who knows?

I thought that Nicks showed a bit more today. A gutsy mark running into a pack and a few nice grabs , but that easy miss in the last quarter running into an open goal, and not having a set shot from 50 late in the 3rd really pissed me off.

he starts from the bench every game. at 28 his long term future is ?????????

              Somewhere else.

At Carlton or the Bulldogs, he has 3-4 years. Unfortunately, those two teams have little we'd want that they'd trade.

"Davis...Davis has kicked 2...he snaps from 40...dont tell me, dont tell me, hes kicked a goal....unbelievable stuff from Nick Davis, can you believe this, he's kicked 3 final quarter goals and Swans are within 3 points..."

Soft for the Dees is somewhere between spongy and gelatinous!

"Cook ruled out trading developing players such as Charlie McCarthy, Henry Playfair and Matthew McCarthy."

                          LOL

The Cats may have "ruled out trading developing players" such as Henry... but they haven't re-signed him either (yet).

I reckon if we dangled Nicks in front of them they might re-consider. A move could be very good for NIcksy right now, esp. into a team a little short on leadership & experience.

'Dunno how his girlfriend would take to living in Geelong though -- a distance relationship perhaps?
To all those people who waited 72 years to see a South Melbourne/Sydney Swans premiership HERE IT IS!!
