What do you reckon, has Jude taken that next step and is he now one of our best players. Has he taken over from PK?

I don't think he has taken over from PK. I think it'll be quite a while before somebody does though. The man was that damn good! The Destructive Dan Experience - Featuring Teal.

Different player to PK - doesn't possess Kel's explosive pace nor great overhead marking skill (though he's a reasonable mark for his size).

But he is definitely coming along very very nicely. Super impressed with his consistency. We always knew he could play some good footy but didn't do often enough or even for long enough during games. Not only is has he regularly been in our better players this season but he has mostly been as good (or even better) towards the end of games as at the start. I reckon he's done a huge amount of off-field work on his fitness.

Doubt he'll ever be in contention for a Brownlow, but wouldn't be surprised to see him do a "Cressa" and consistently finish in the top 3 or 4 in the B&F, and has the potential to win it as well.Comment

Currently leading our disposals, taking plenty of marks (5th), 3rd highest tackle count (49), second highest handball count 115 (just behind Kirk, his partner in crime this year), isn't getting a lot of shots at goal, but so far he's making them count...

You can't just replace PK. But if you were looking for an example of a player putting his hand up for the job, Jude fits the bill.

One comparison where he does have the PK touch is in his contested possessions. He's always shown a certain degree of depseration, but this year he's channelled that intensity to the team's best advantage. Some of is pressure work has been incredible.Time to march for the Red and WhiteComment

He will escape Kel's injuries because he ain't the human battering ram that The Champ was.

He really impressed last week because of his intensity and nose over the nut all day.

He will get Brownlow votes in the games he kicks goals. If we can get everything Jude is delivering plus a goal a game consistently, we will have one hell of a gun midfielder.

I think this is the main similarity b/w the two IMO. As lizz said there are a few differences such as speed and marking ability, but in terms of this thread I reckon jude is just as much of a battering ram than PK. Having said that he doesnt break as maybe tackles as PK did when do the battering ram thing cause PK was absolutely HUGE.Originally posted by TheHood

I can't believe that Bolts and Kel are being mentioned in the same sentence....

Kel is one of the club's best footballers of all time, Jude is a totally different player to Kel.Bloods

Agreed Jon. And I voted yes, even though it's a silly question, based exactly on what Jon just said.Originally posted by Jon

I reckon they definitely have bits of their game that are similar. Both are hard at the ball for sure. But notice that he doesnt have an injury run. But as most of you have said, i think he is far away from replacing PK.Using hypothesis testing via confidence intervals:
