AGB there was a bbq. Though, sorry, it wasn't an open one for fans. Something to do with 'members get members' that's why I had wondered if anyone from here was going

yeh, Matthew Nicks interviewed a few people on 'swanning around' and they said that it was for current members who had brought in new members...

It wasn't elitism. It was a reward for the member get member campaign run during the off season. Those who participated got to go. From memory, this was always listed as a benefit of getting into that campaign. I didn't and therefore wasn't there, but I spoke to a couple of people who did go and they said it was a great, relaxed event with really good player interaction.

I think that was one of the incentives for signing up new members... Get x new members and be invited to a training night barbeque, that sort of thing.
