    Reserves?

    How'd we go?

Interesting that Sundqvist went ok - would be unlucky to get dropped
You don't ban those who supported your opponent, you make them wallow in their loserdom by covering your victory! You sit them in the front row. You give them a hat! Toby Ziegler

Lost to Belconnen by a couple of goals. The magpies looked pretty good actually! Had decent travelling support, very hard at it. I mostly kept an eye on the Swans listed players.. Heath James kicked a couple of ripper goals from about 50m - really giving the hammies a workout! I think Jarred McVeigh has had a haircut, I didn't recognise him at first!

Sean Dempster did a couple of nice things - Frosty and Warfe looked pretty good at this level..

177th Senior AFL Match - Round 4, 2009 - Sydney vs Carlton, SCG. This is obviously out of date. I suppose I'll update it once I could be bothered sitting down with the fixture and working it out....

Swans were leading midway through the 3rd quarter but Belconnen really overran them in the last quarter and a half. Won by 4 goals or so IIRC.

Can someone give me an honest opinion on how Warfe went in the 2's?

i thought warfe was ok.....tried to direct play and help the young players. he was well held but but clearly above this level.
this comp. is tough and makes it hard to 'star' and frostie moves around well without deserving a recall but Heath looked good, mcveigh has class and stevens did little but IMO is better than this.....powell at ruck was wasted and he didn't win the taps or do anything.Buchananon, hunt, etc??not good.

Buchanan came down with what looked to have been a pretty bad knee injury or something during the 2nd half

Heath James kicked some pretty good goals and he was moving around very well...i cringed when he came down in the third quarter, but thankfully it was only a knock to the head.

NOG did a couple of good things and a couple of really BAD things, e.g. running into the forward 50 flank and having a shot on goal with no pressure and kicking it OOTF

Dempster took alot of the kick-ins which will be handy by the time he plays seniors

Warfe won't be playing in the seniors again, he was crap to say the least

We saw most of the 2nd and 3rd quarters. Frosty looked like he had an attitude problem being out there, but didn't impress - gave no reason to get promoted. It took me a while to really work out that Wharfey was himself and not someone with his number because he had a new, very close haircut. He didn't do anything brilliant.

Heath was at the other end of the ground or on the bench so I can't comment on him. NOG was getting involved, looked OK, and then seemed to go walkabout. Briefly saw Buchanon, but he didn't seem to do much.
