    Players on the improve

I thought O'Keefe, Fosdike and Sundqvist played their best footy of the season tonight - would be handy if these guys kicked on in the second half.

Sadly for Sundqvist I can see him struggling to keep his spot though. Looks a future player though

I think willo is on the improve - getting back to his b/f form over the last fortnight.

Add Nicksie to that list as well - easily his best game this season IMO.

O'Keefe has been gradually getting better and better. He was excellent in the last quarter against the Weagles and a very good four quarter contributor this week. I tipped him to be the Swans player most likely to "emerge" this season (along with Doyle) and was frustrated early on when he didn't grab his chances. Really really glad to see him stepping up now.

Yep, Nicksy did pretty well (remember that other Syd v St K game, Luffy's last @ SCG?).. As the commentators are fond of saying, he certainly presented well.

177th Senior AFL Match - Round 4, 2009 - Sydney vs Carlton, SCG. This is obviously out of date. I suppose I'll update it once I could be bothered sitting down with the fixture and working it out....

Agree with the comments made. Nicks has bought himself a couple more weeks at least in the seniors. Made a strong contribution tonight. O'Keefe is turning into a more and more integral part of the team with each game. He was probably our best in the first quarter tonight, and more generally, can take a grab (quite good overhead for his size), is a good kick for goal, and also applies a lot of pressure on the opposition defenders trying to rebound.

I didn't actually realise that Sunny had 12 touches till I got home and took a look at the stats. He's coming along nicely and it wouldn't surprise to see him get a few more games under his belt this year.

              I'm on the Chandwagon!!!

If you cannot compete for the premiership, it's better to be young and exciting than middle-aged and dowdy.

I was very impressed wih Sunny last night. He builds up the stats in an unobtrusive way. He took a great grab just in front of me from a Saints kick out which showed great anticipation. Unfortunately he will probably be dropped next week to make way for Maxie. He always does well with limited game time.

I was out so missed the game, but saw the last half replay when I got home, and the one thing that really stood out to me was Sunny's game.

He has developed the ability to make space and gets to a contest very quickly. His big plus is his disposal and vision. He sums up a situation very quickly when he gets balanced and delivers superbly. Also seems very cool under pressure, and like genuine top players seems to have plenty of time for a quality disposal.

He gets on his own very much in the mould of Cresswell, and is a very unselfish player, which is a big attribute for a midfielder.

He is genuinely an emerging player and don't be surprised if he steps straight into the midfield next year.

Hope I haven't put the mozz on him.

Totally agree with u there nico, bout Sunny.....
Been improving consistently, not drastically but consistently. On his way to become a regular in the team next year. IMHO he has been coming along as expected/hoped and that suits me just fine.

i love seeing okeefe in some form...

but i thought that sunny's effort in the dying stages of the game were significant when everyone else was kicking it backwards and slowing it up, he moved on quickly and tried to set something up

Nicks is looking much better. Thankfully getting into touch and looking good.
Sunny did well I thought. What does everyone think about Max? Is it the same knee he had fixed last year? Hope we see him back soon.
Stuey didn't look too happy at all after the game when they sang the song.
