    Injuries

"The Swans reported minor injuries to Jason Saddington (shin) Ryan O'Keefe (calf) and Jared Crouch (ankle)..."

    Does anyone have more information?

Jared Crouch came off the ground with his ankle strapped. I saw him come off the field limping badly and then this made sense. I remembered it as having happened somewhere in the 4th, but watching the replays, it must have been very close to the end of the quarter.

We thought that Adam Goodes had dislocated his finger because at one point there was a shot of him on the bench getting it worked on.

Sads was off for the last quarter IIRC (could be wrong). We weren't sure if there was an injury or if he was just being rested.

Yes midaro - all those injuries I have read are very minor ones and from all reports all players you mentioned will be fit and firing by saturday.

Saddington has done the quad again, shin (chuckle), I saw him coming off it weren't no shin, will have a question mark on him for sure this weekend.

The other should be OK I think.

Saddo will play. Not his quad. Had a lot of ice packed onto his shin.

In Sunday's paper it reported Saddo as injuring his 'chin'

Injuries: Sydney: Saddington (chin), Crouch (ankle), O'Keefe (calf).

Mark Powell also limped off down the race at the end of the game. Haven't heard anything, but hopefully nothing will come of that.

It seems that with any leg injury they go for crutches as a precaution...I remember seeing McVeigh on crutches after the Kangas game in Canberra. Presumably he'd injured it during the previous day's reserves game at Ainslie, though I was at that game also and hadn't noticed anything...
I was wondering what Goodsie was doing there on the TV replay...it looked like he was getting a manicure!!!
Lets hope the injuries aren't serious, but there are others waiting in the wings to step in. It looks like Doyle is only perhaps 2 or 3 weeks away. I think that as he's on the LT injury list, he has to play seniors again by round 18 to be eligible for finals footy.
What's the news on Seymour and Fixter. Ben I heard was only 2 or 3 weeks away as well...
"Davis...Davis has kicked 2...he snaps from 40...dont tell me, dont tell me, hes kicked a goal....unbelievable stuff from Nick Davis, can you believe this, he's kicked 3 final quarter goals and Swans are within 3 points..."

He has to be back on the senior list by Rd 18.

That's when senior lists have to be finalised for the year (ie. no more rookie elevations).

With the vacant spot there, it won't be a problem, even if he doesn't play before Rd 18.

The bottom part of this article reads as follows:

"Captain Stuart Maxfield (knee), defender Jason Saddington (shin) and elusive midfielder Ryan O'Keefe (calf) are all doubtful for the game against the Blues.

But tagger Jared Crouch (ankle) is expected to be available.

Physiotherapist Matt Cameron said yesterday Maxfield and Saddington would not start jogging until Thursday. O'Keefe is waiting the result of a calf scan to determine the result of the damage."
