    Kenny

Just finished watching the tape of the StK match and was really pleased to see the Kenny Williams interview at half time. I loved it when he was asked who over the years was his favourite player. His answer really summed up my own feelings that it's whoever wears the red and white, whether that be a youngster having his first game, or a veteran who has just retired (or about to retire)...
    GO SWANNIES!!!
"Davis...Davis has kicked 2...he snaps from 40...dont tell me, dont tell me, hes kicked a goal....unbelievable stuff from Nick Davis, can you believe this, he's kicked 3 final quarter goals and Swans are within 3 points..."

I saw it too. No wonder everybody likes him, he's such a character and inspiring as well.
I wonder if every club has a similar dedicated supporter.

I've seen Kenny on Tv many times but had never spoken to him. Last week, however I was in Sydney and went to training, I was standing on the boundary and all of a sudden heres Kenny over for a chat. He was a thorough Gentleman.

No doubt that Kenny is a dedicated Swans fan. But is he really any better or more dedicated than anybody else, simply because he gets into the circle after a win?

an important part of the club, as we all are - but he was all over the shop in the interview
"As a player he simply should not have been able to do the things he did. Leo was a 185cm, 88kg full-back and played on some of the biggest, fastest and best full-forwards of all time, and constantly beat them." Roos.

That's always been my philosophy too... I can never provide an answer to the "who is your favourite player" question. Players come and go, coaches come and go. The club remains. I may have soft spots for players, or be critical of a player, but it's usually all on merit. If their ACTIONS are good, I like em. If their actions are not beneficial to the club I barrack for, they will cop a spray (albeit from the distance of row Y of the O'Reilly Stand).

177th Senior AFL Match - Round 4, 2009 - Sydney vs Carlton, SCG. This is obviously out of date. I suppose I'll update it once I could be bothered sitting down with the fixture and working it out....

He actually does quite a bit more than that.

During the preseason when the guys were training on Moore Park (outside the SCG) I dropped by (went AWOL) a few times to watch training and Kenny was always there ready with water, towels or whatever.

He was constantly encouraging the boys with pats on the back and a few words here and there.

From my understanding he puts in a lot of time at the club and is very well liked.

He made the effort to come over and speak with me a few times as I watched from the fence and said that it was great that I was there to show my support. (he also said that I should bring some of my mates along but I explained that at 10:30am on a Wednesday it wasn't quite practical, as I was myself meant to be elsewhere!)

                    I think he's great!

He seemed to have the Ch 10 staff falling over with laughter when he said this and sadly there have been a few that have passed on as well.
