I agree with you. I would love to attend especially such a special occasion. But certainly cannot afford these occasions. We miss out. Won't be on TV either because we are Collingwood. One day they will bring prices down on events. Better still maybe pick a member at random to attend free. Really think this would be a good idea.Love those Swans -
we're going and I can't wait .... some friends are coming up from Melbourne for the weekend. Will have to take plenty of pics and post them for everyone who isn't going. Here's my heart and you can break it
I need some release, release, release
We need

I expect the actual naming of the team itself to cause that much food for thought that this messageboard will go into meltdown.
Over the years, South Melbourne/Sydney has had some pretty big names play for it - no other club has won more Brownlows than ours.
The biggest talking point will undoubtedly be the full forward spot.
Bob Pratt with 681 goals in just 158 games or Lockett with 462 goals in 95 games.
What about the Wiz?? Would you put him in a forward pocket?
What about Len Mortimer? Leading goalkicker 7 times from 1906-12.
Fullback - Dunks or Tilt who both finished on 217 games.
Could be a very crowded centre line with the likes of Skilton, Kelly, Diesel, Healy, Barry Mitchell, Stevie Wright, Cresswell or trying to muscle their way in.
Will be interesting to see how many guys from the 86-87 era make it into the side. I would expect that Diesel would be one of the first players named - anyone who saw one of his 40 metre handballs or 40+ possession games would concur.
But what about guys like David Murphy, David Bolton, Bernard Toohey, Tony Morwood, Mark Browning, Dennis Carroll??
Could Roosy edge himself in at halfback?
What about the current side - Magic? Goodes?
And the coach............Could it be Rocket? Does anyone know if Rocket will actually be there? Has all bad blood gone or some exists?
Not the easiest job for the selectors of this dream team.
After that, we can have some fun and pick our 'Vincibles'.
Will Sangster, Darren Ogier, Dean McRae, Richard Ambrose, John Hutton, Dermott Brereton, Fred Campbell..........Comment

Who's fear? And why is it a fear?
This is mainly on line ball decisions such as Dunks vs Carter vs Goldsmith, not the sure things such as Skilton and Kelly would beOnce was, now elsewhereComment

As far as I see... these are the certainties to be somewhere in the side:
Kelly
Skilton
Bedford
Rantall
Pratt
Lockett
Nash
Mathews
Williams
Healy
Round
The rest are competing for the other spots. We hate Anthony Rocca
We hate Shannon Grant too
We hate scumbag Gaspar

Rantall - marginal - especially seeing as he has disgraced himself in recent years.
Surely Laurie Nash, Herb Mathews, Ron Clegg, Fred Goldsmith would be walk up starts.
Austin Robertson senior was certainly a player with a big reputation.
Can't see Trevor Mustey getting a gig.You don't ban those who supported your opponent, you make them wallow in their loserdom by covering your victory! You sit them in the front row. You give them a hat! Toby ZieglerComment

That would be fair I think.

That would be fair I think.
