I dont know how true this is but herd from a guy up in sydney that ROK wants to come back to melbourne. I've also herd that the Melbourne footy club are intrested in his services. With our forward line as strong as it is it might not be a bad idea and try and get a defender of some sort from the dees.
As i said i dont kow how true this is.

I would not want to lose him, but would understand why he would go back to Melbourne based on the family tragedy last year and to be closer to his folks.

But we should try and get the best deal possible of player/draft pick if this is the case.

Couldn't agree more Roscoe. As I mentioned on an earlier thread, he's a real sweetheart. He was great with the kids today. I took my nephews and he's fast becoming one of their favourites too.

He has had a couple of interupted years, but when he strings a few games together we see a hint of what he's capable of. Over the past few weeks he has begun to show some of that. I believe there is only good to come. He's been playing great footy. With time and experience, he will become a very good player. It would be a big loss for Sydeny if he goes.

I only hope this is all BS.

I actually know a young guy who went to school with him and used to play football with his deceased brother, and he has always said that he would quite happily return to Melbourne and was originally reluctant to go north, but it is not like a classic Headland, Davis homesick case.

I asked him last year on a sydneyswans.com.au chat session what the club does to make interstate youngsters feel like they are at home in Sydney and encourage them to stay. His words were simply "the club makes it hard to want to leave."

I know i am not respected on this board but as much as you like it i will continue to post and share my opions with you. The source is a diffrent one who told me about Goodsey ( he is no longer a source). Its acutally my mates, mate is pretty good friends with Ryan so thats were i got the mail. As i said in my first post i dont know how true it is but that is just what i've herd. I can understand why he would want to go home though and be close to his family and orginal friends. I hope we can get the best deal possible out of this because Ryan is and going to be a very good player.

Ease up a bit, guys... Frosty_13 might idolise a hack, and he might have got something wrong once... but who hasn't posted something that made them look dumb afterwards? I know I've done it enough times. Cut the guy a bit of slack - at least he is supporting the club, not trolling.

Frosty_13 - keep posting. You've done nothing wrong as far as I'm concerned.
