Well that's certainly good news. I think the thing that separates us from failing miserably and challenging for the 8 is a bit of luck with injuries - Ball/Maxfield are particularly important here.. It's essential that we get a good last year or two out of them!

177th Senior AFL Match - Round 4, 2009 - Sydney vs Carlton, SCG. This is obviously out of date. I suppose I'll update it once I could be bothered sitting down with the fixture and working it out....

Great News. Each player has an important role to play in our side this year and if they are at full fitness come Round 1 it can only help us out.

Interesting to read Micky(also mentioned in above article) might finally shake of his injuries and put in a full season, unplauged by niggles(Hes the number plate I chased the most, I just love to watch him in full flight).

We'll need Ball the most as his ruck work was much missed and Doyle will be a good backup as he still has his ruck 'L' plates on. Ball was rarely mentioned as a loss and not having played a game last year was a hard spot to cover!

Is Ball going to be close to being ready or is he long term?
