    Kepler Bradley

WA's Kepler Bradely winner of U/18 Lark Medal. In yesterdays West Aus. had a photo of him in his bedroom Swans Posters and flags everywhere. Article led off with "Keen Swans fan..."
and latter said "could be drafted by beloved swans but knows the draft is a lottery..."

    197cm, 88Kg Kp/Ruckman

Doubt he would be around with our first pick but thought you guys would be interested.

If he's a winner of the Lark medal then he must know how to kick a football. We should definitely have a look at him if he is a Swans fan.

Wasn't Nick Davis a big Collingwood fan?

I don't think who he supports is a big factor in "Go Home" disease.

ive already stated elsewhere that i liked the look of this kid but he wont last that long, especially when the doggies are in dire need of this sort of player... i didnt realise that he was a swans fan though!!! makes me want the swans to lose the rest of the games in the season now...

Harry Kewell just took a massive pay cut to play for his childhood heros, effectively screwing the club that gave him is big break.

Let Footscray or Carlton see how good Kepler is, then yeah we'll bring him 'home' when his first contract expires.

I wonder if his mates call him 'Wessels'?
To all those people who waited 72 years to see a South Melbourne/Sydney Swans premiership HERE IT IS!!

who would everyone prefer, lenny hayes or kepler bradley??? line ball IMO

Sorry Penga, it was just in the paper that I saw at work.

I also don't know how to do links and stuff as I barely know anything about the net.

Ignoring trading cost, Hayes definitely. He's proven to be class and still has the bulk of his best years ahead of him. Bradley may or may not turn out to be a fine player but is an unknown quantity. In terms of the club's need I'd say a gun midfielder and a quality KPP are pretty much level pegging but I reckon there are more possibilities amongst the current younger players of finding a decent KPP (Powell, Hunt maybe, James if the fairytale eventuates, maybe even LRT) than a seriously good midfielder.

And no, that's not ignoring the likes of Schneider or even Sunny or McVeigh. I reckon we need another top class midfielder even if they develop because we'll soon be losing Cressa, Maxfield and Williams. Ablett and Buchanan still have an awful lot to prove, while Dempster, Thewlis and Malceski look more like utility type players than true centremen.

Kepler was also mentioned in the Kevin Sheehan's article for AFL web site:

                            Kepler Bradley, 13/11/85, 198cm, 88kg, West Perth
Although Western Australia finished the championships on a disappointing note, there was some consolation when Bradley won the Larke Medal for the best and fairest player in division one of the championships. He won the medal with 14 votes from Cooney and Herrington, who both finished on 13. It was a much-deserved win for the ruckman-cum-key defender/forward, as he was outstanding in Western Australia?s opening two matches. His running ability, marking and work ethic was a feature of his game and he was clearly Western Australia?s outstanding performer. Still just 17 years old, Bradley doesn?t turn 18 until later this year, but he certainly captured the attention of the 16 AFL clubs.

                            Here's also the link: http://afl.com.au/default.asp?pg=opi...ticleid=105368

                            I hope this helps.

                              This is the article

Kepler Bradley won the WAFL Colts B&F award last year and was apparently very dominant.

It will be interesting to see how clubs view him - he is a bit of an ungainly spastic to watch running around.

Although sometimes it's just a bit of that athletic / tall / talented combo that doesn't quite mesh completely (eg. Lucas, Richardson etc).
