No, they stopped doing that back in 1999 or 2000 because C7 needed to rip up the cable that provided the feed to Easts to redeploy for their Olympic coverage.

This isn't exactly what you are after ... but, the intention is that if this event is successful to try and make this pub an unofficial hangout for away games.

That pub is around the corner from my place. Wonder if they have Fox Footy, as I'd enjoy watching the SA Showdowns etc that us AFL-lepher Sydneysiders never get to see.

They do - and at least on the first Thursday of every month they have it playing on all the screens. No reason to believe the rest of the week is any different. The pub is owned by an ex-Swans player, and obviously a big footy fan.

            easts/ alexandria hotel

i ended up going to easts with a friend. the club DID show the game on large screen in sports bar( a nice area with tab, pokie machines, cheap bar prices and a cheap bistro )but u need to ring the club to find out if they are showing it. as there was no other sport on tv last saturday we had the room to ourselves(about 20 people in all) but if swans game were to clash with nrl game, i dare say the nrl would be shown.
ps .on alexandria hotel , the place is a dive, major dive. darren mcasey use to run the exchange in balmain which was a great pub, only hope he can perform miracles with his new pub.
