    OKeefe Oloughin Ball off contract

How up to date is this. I thought O'loughin re-signed for couple of years. Sydney have to keep him won't they.

I remember Roos on Talking Footy said Micky was close to signing for 3/4 years. At Jason Ball's age he's going nowhere, which leaves O'Keefe. IMHO he'll go south at the end of the year. Hopefully we'll get something for him - H. Playfair?

Gee, he'd have to be worth more than Playfair, surely.

I'm hopeful that now he's getting a run in the seniors and is playing some very good footy that he'll want to stay put.

Is Ferguson from Melbourne any good? He seemed O.K. as a defender during the pre-season matches.

You'd have to think that that would be on his mind. Still, I wouldn't blame the club for seeing his trade value as an impact player-he's been damn excellent of late.

Have emailed "Ask Roos" re contracts. Just curious. As said previously O'Loughlin is close to signing for 3 or 4 years. We need Ball to sign and would like to see O'Keefe especially how he has been playing.
          Love those Swans

Saw him with a young lassie in his car the other week hope its his NSW girlfriend and he wants to stay.

As for me, I would keep him at nearly all costs - developing young player that can hold a mark and kick a goal. Part of the Swans future A-plan (develop young players....)

The only reason that I don't say he is a "kill to keep" player is any one is tradable and if his heart isn't here send him back and get a return we might get Acka or someone on the back trade????

You don't get good players without some hurt

Keep the one that you want and want to be here! delist and trade the others

Hope he wants to stay here and win a flag or 2.

I'd want OKeefe to stay as well. We need a rough nut who can pop up now and again and nail a few goals

I've watched his game develop over the past couple of years and would be very disappointed if he left.

Lets hope we can make it impossible for him to go.

JC - He played quite well in one game in the preseason against Matthew Richardson and avg. in the rest.
He has been hadly sighted this year, as he has been playing in the reserves even when melbourne were crying out for a big backmen. Daniher didnt make much of a comment on him, so he's a bit dodgy atm as a prospect.

JC did you see him play for frankston in the VFL , you being a frankston boy like me an all ? He seems to go alrite, just as I mentioned before something is going on down at melbourne which he is just not getting 1st time and I think he is a melbourne boy through an through and woudn't wanna move. I think he'd rather play VFL.

That's the game I noticed him in also (not too hard to have a good game against Richo this year at all).

Didn't see him play for The Dolphins, but noticed his name in dispatches on occassion. Have you been getting to see Frankston play at all this season? I went to the Pt. Melb game at Kars St some weeks back (it was my boy's first ever attendance at any sort of match). We left at around half time because my boy got ill for no apparent reason. Maybe he was disgusted by the score (The Burrough were killing us).

Yes mate, but I usually get down at about half time because the swanny games usually co-incide with the dolphins games. So after the swans finish their 1pm games which finish at around 3.30 I head down to Kars St.

Their not going too bad for a stand alone side. They struggle against the bigger powerhouse afl aligned VFL teams but hold their own against the rest.

I expect them to get the last spot in the final 8, and from there who knows but I'm not holding any expectations.

                        Keep O'Keefe - he's RELIABLE!
He reminds him of the guys, close-set, slow, and never rattled, who were play-makers on the team. (John Updike, seeing Josh Kennedy in a crystal ball)
