Floppinab - BBBH is still in the top 10 in the AFL for marks - can't see how he is ordinary at all.

Not much in it - if the umpire hadn't reported I doubt it would be looked at - but - he will be lucky to get off as technically it is their - although more he tried to push off him with his head than butt him

Just when we thought Bazza was keeping his cool for a season.

      This is very disappointing.

I reckon his presence on the field is very important to the team. If he is suspended it will definitely be a blow. We could do with him out there against Freo next week. He has been playing very well at centre half forward on the SCG, setting up many goals if not kicking a couple. Will be sorely missed if suspended.

Had another look at it on the video and it looks as if he pushed his head into Beaumont's chest rather than butting his head. Still daft and completely unnecessary.

And I really can't agree with the comment that we won't miss him much if he goes. Even when he's not scoring goals himself, his physical presence in the forward line is one of the major reasons other players are kicking them, not to mention he frees up Davis, O'Loughlin et al from the attentions of the opposition's number one backman.

It seems to have become "fashionable" in footy to put the head down and push forward when confronted face to face. Paul Williams does it all the time, and I noticed that Franchina did the same to him in full view of the umpire without repercussion.

Damien Hardwick does it all the time, and Johnson and Rioli at Essendon fancy it too. It has never yet been interpreted as "head-butting".

There's no doubt in my mind that Hall got reported for being BBBH rather than for any "unduly rough play".

Even lamer than the LRT report against the Bulldogs IMO.

A nudge to the head. Big deal! Talk about soft.
My 18 month old son headbuts me harder than that.

I would say that Bazza was doing quite well to keep his cool, not lose it.

@@@@ the technicality of it, there was nothing in it.

That's nuffin'. Some clown on this board, can't remember who, said they would support Collingwood if LRT got suspended.

Think I'd rather swin naked in the Yarra!!

It will be touch an go whether he gets suspended, but it is very disapointing.
He has controlled his aggression at the ball and has had a very strong physical presence about him which only a handful of players in the league have.
I'm still confident we have enough firepower up forward though to not miss him as much as other people will think. The only aspect we will truly miss is his CHF work, but with a few positional changes hopefully we can cover that to some degree with goodes or lrt.
It might be time to see nick davis kick 7 or 8.

I only saw it on TV but it didnt look like much to me. but then he got 5 weeks last year when others (Rioli) got away with worse

Tony Shaw will not be a pretty sight bit I think we'll be seing it

Given his record, we might see him gone for a couple of weeks. I reckon he his pivotal for our forward line, so a major problem potentially.

You really think major problem NMW ?

With Oloughlin , Davis, Goodes there is still more than enough match winners down there to cope for a game or so.

The only problem is his work at CHF which we will miss, not a major problem in my eyes - minor imo

To me it looked about the same as the one that Lloyd got away with last year - but of course that WAS pretty boy Lloyd!

On the contrary NMW, I think that he has behaved extemely well this year considering the amount of attention he gets, so that should be taken into account more than previous seasons' misdemeanors.

Given his record THIS SEASON he should not go.

His record, whether this season or past ones, will be irrelevant to whether or not he is guilty - or at least it should be. It will be relevant to the sentence he gets if found guilty and unfortunately the tribunal will not take account of the fact he has a clean record over only 15 or 16 games. He won't get the 5 weeks he did last year but I wouldn't be surprised if he's given 3 because the tribunal really doesn't seem to like him. They save all their sentencing favours for the likes of Rioli.

Unfortunately I think Bazza is done for.

Did anyone else see the slow-mo footage of Shane Crawford kneeing and kicking some Demoan though? They replayed it a number of times on Fox during the game. If Barry gets done for that 'headbutt' then Crawford should get reported on video evidence for kicking.
