    Aftermatch details anyone ?

Unfortunately due to a very bad case of a cold and cough, I missed out on seeing my beloved swannies in action in melbourne and also going to the aftermatch function.
Any hot gossip anyone ? Or just the usual fun and games.

Nothing important except for Roos being his usual cagey self when it came to finals...

Guess which player didn't get more than two steps away from the stairs the players were coming down, ALL NIGHT, because he was swamped by fans?

If you said Schneiderman, you got it in one! This guy is the next cult hero, there's no doubt about it. I asked him what he thought of his new nickname... to which he replied "it's a bit different." Don't know what to read into that one.

All in all, the players seemed to be happy, relaxed and enjoying the atmosphere. It's amazing how confident Tadhg, Jude, Goodesy and Saddo have become in that sort of arena, where they are the centre of attention, and there isn't a fence stopping people from approaching them. The Swans certainly won't be hard up for leadership in a couple of years when Cressa, Willo and Maxi retire.

Speaking of Cressa, I got a promise out of him that if we lose the grand final, he'll be back next year!!! I told him I'd hold him to it... I know that if the fairytale doesn't happen this year, I want him helping it to happen next year, no doubt!!

John Longmire is a tank... that was the first time I'd seen him up close since I was about three and happened to be playing under a seat at his brother's wedding...

Does anyone else think that Jason Ball and Andrew Schauble look very much alike?? I almost made a goose of myself going up to Schaubes... I was going to say "well done for getting back to AFL, Jason." Thankfully, Cressa called out "Schaubes" just as I was about to speak!!!

I was dissappointed that the MC, Tony Morwood wasn't even at the game, he was at the Hawks game apparently. So when he was talking about the game it was all done on hearsay.

The venue was quite good, and the players got up close and personal to a point. Saddo kept punching the air, seems he realised that that was of his clangers for the day.

Apart form a bit of baloon rage toward the end of the evening, it was OK, but no where near as good as Luffy's AM's.

The kids were going a bit feral, cause there was no real entertainment.

Interesting comments Anni. I guess as a single guy without any sprogs in tow I don't have any concept of all of what should be done to cater for the littlies.

Maybe they can bring in the Wiggles for them after the Melbourne game?

This was the first time that I went to an aftermatch in Melbourne and I loved it!!!!!!!!!!! All of the players were definitely relaxed and happy to be there and they even talked to me!!!! Andrew Schauble was definitely the nicest player there but they were all nice. I've had experiences with footballers from other teams before that have caused me to think that they're horrible but now I realise that Sydney Swans have the nicest players around. I was wondering if Schneider had moved from the stairs when I first saw him and now I found out that my guess was right. It's scary how much of a cult following he's receiving and I wonder why he thought Schneiderman was 'a bit different'. Anyway, it was fantastic and I was in heaven.
