Micky our best and most important

IMO Michael O'loughlin is our best and most important player. When he is playing, we look a more complete side, and it has showed this year. Micky takes the pressure off all the forwards and creates a lot of opportunities to kick goals, and quite often kicks a bag himself. He has done it this year, when his knee is clearly not 100% fit.

He is a wonderful footballer, and doesn't get the credit he deserves from the media down here.

I don't know if I would use the words best and most important to describe him (and that's not to say that he's not a fantastic footballer). I don't think I could describe any of our players as most important as you could probably look at a handful of our team and if they were out, we would struggle big time.

IMHO, Magic is the key to giving us our most balanced side. When he is in the side, he frees up BBBH to play further up the ground where this season he has proved to be more effective creating a contest and opportunities for teammates. This is because Magic can play out of the goalsquare where he has the ability to play on the lead, body on body, or at ground level, and kick goals from balls coming to him in any of those ways.

    I'm on the Chandwagon!!!

If you cannot compete for the premiership, it's better to be young and exciting than middle-aged and dowdy.

I dont think Micky has been our most important plugger but he's right up there. Goodes by an absolute mile for mine then Hall and probably Leo next. Micky would be after these 3 blokes.

        RE Magic

I am so glad that Magic has finally realised that he CAN kick goals and has stopped all that crap where he used to spend about 30 minutes looking around to dish the ball off when he was in front of goal. It was so frustrating to see such a talented footballer with so little confidence. Let's hope he can keep it up for the rest of the season and all those finals we'll be playing!

I agree. Micky has himself said it's a confidence thing, If he gets the first look out, but if he misses with the first, it could be a long day at the office.
