Good call ripper. I spent 6 months in Perth back in the 90's and have to agree with you there. The weagles fan were a bit sooky and dead quite when there team was losing. Not a sound to rev the players up a bit. The Freo fans were a totally different story. Especially at that beautiful old ground in Freo you used to play at. Cant remember the name of it now, but I had a great time when I saw the dockers play footy there.

Fremantle poops all over Perth in more ways than one. I hope you guys give it to the weagles in the derby in round 22. Should be a cracker and may even do us a favour if ya beat em. Will probably determine some of your own finals fate as well.

Anyway as others have said, good to see some civilised oppposition fans dropping in for a chat

Hey fellas, what's the dirt on Croady? From a fan's persepective are you hoping to unload him? Is he viewed as lazy? Disappointing potential never realised? Big waste on money? Do you hope he stays and improves? Do you want him gone?

I used to be a big Croad fan, terrific athlete who I thought would mature to become a genuine superstar and right now his stocks are low with his career at a major crossroads. I would like to see him do well but would love to know what the opinion from the West really is?

the Hawksa re my second team and I spend a bit of time at Hawk Headquarters.

Had to laugh out loud about recent threads bemoaning Goldspink and how he obviously hates Hawthorn....

He's the one who paid the three deliberate out of bounds and who also overruled the goal umpire form a really poor angle to give essendon the victory in PF of 2001.

He will never be forgiven at Glenferrie.

A few supporters from other teams posted about goldspink problems so it was agreed in the end that he really is just the worst umpire ever (and an Essondon/Roos supporter!)

An old tactic, but still a good one, I admit.

Croadie has been excellent, No one at the club trains harder. If anything he has been trying too hard , but his two weeks back at the WAFL have done him the world of good allowing him to get some touch & confidence back. Last game he had 28 possies and kicked 6 goals and played everywhere. Expect a big one from him and also Justin Longmuir who seems to relish having Croadie in the team.

Despite what you read in the press the club and the majority of the fans are right behind him and I doubt that he will be going anywhere. His manager said the other night that although no player is untradable he would put $100.00 on him being at Freo for life.

An interesting stat I heard last night on the footy show was that Freo's highest ever number of wins in a season is 10. Well they are on 10 at the moment and if they win this week it will set a club record.

This stat worries me the most as it will provide an enormous drive and motivation to the playing group to get over the line.

On another note watching Goodes and Pavlich - hopefully against each other at some stage will be worth the price of admission itself.

                Swans by 30.

Here's another article on Roos and Connolly taken from AFL site:

It looks to me that people are showing a real ineterest in the Swans' game against Fremantle.

I wouldn't worry much about that, Connolly takes little notice of the clubs history and is more concerned about creating his own history for the club.

I'd keep an eye out for T.Longmuir if I was Roo's. He has been in sensational form in the WAFl, averaging something like 6 goals a game for the past few weeks and has been up for selection for most of the season.
I'm quite sure that Connolly will tell him that he is playing for his career at the Dockers on Sunday, which should see him try his heart out to prove himself.
