Yee-haaaaa, Festival of the boot! There is nothing better than spending a weekend watching grown sweaty men chasing balls and whacking each other on the arse for an entire weekend!

My prediction - 79083 tonight to see the Wallabies lose by about as much, and 28186 tomorrow listening to me losing my voice (if I dont leave it at Homebush)Visit my eBay store -

I dont really care about rugby union. boring. and you couldnt give me a ticket but please no . I simply couldnt face going to work on Monday if the score is remotely like the one you suggest. the boss is a kiwi and he has been unbearable all week because of the netball. if the allblakcs win he'll be even worse (if thats possible)Originally posted by sharpie

Great crowd considering we were playing freo. If we were playing a power club today we would have cracked 35 000 easily imo. The crowds are building hopefully to the haydays of the mid to late 90's.No.1 ticket holder of Nick Davis Fan Club...Comment

It was a loud crowd for much of the day, but deathly silent occasionally. Looked like turning seriously mean in the first quarter, but was placated when we got ahead. Very vocal in telling hte umpires what we thought of them! And I believe that rally in the 4th quarter was crowd induced! A couple of times players appeared to turn to the crowd to gee them up.Dream, believe, achieve!Comment

Well, I was a bit off the mark. Compared to other Syd-Freo games at the SCG I've been to, there were alot more Freo supporters there today, which is good to see.

IMHO the crowd in Sydney are at their most vocal when the umpiring is the thing the Swans struggle most against. If we're getting done by the opposition, the crowd seems to just be flat, but when its the maggots killing us, that's when the crowd gets most lively.
 I'm on the Chandwagon!!!

If you cannot compete for the premiership, it's better to be young and exciting than middle-aged and dowdy.

Nick Davis' comments about our crowds at the after-match were pretty poignant. He said he had the luck of playing before 95000+ crowds on Anzac Day & at Grand Finals. But he said that 30000 at the SCG make heaps more noise that at either of those matches.Originally posted by Bron

Say what you like about the Sydney crowds, but we have the potential to be LOUD LOUD LOUD!

No wonder the team can explode out of nowhere. We get 1 or 2 goals, the crowd goes up, and then the adrenalin kicks on.

 JF, still peaking....

PS:- Imagine how loud the crowd would have been had they actually all arrived before quarter time!"Never ever ever state that Sydney is gone. They are like cockroaches in the aftermath of a nuclear war"
