Well, I picked the rugby, wasnt far off with the Swans crowd, and picked all 8 games this week and moved back into the top 10 in the AFL's fantasy footy comp. The lotto numbers this week are 15,44,27,8,19,33,2.

YES! I noticed that Bron. (I've only watched the last quarter so far) After Kirk's goal in the final quarter, Adam Schneider turned around to face the crowd and pumped both his fists in a "come on get into it" suggestion.

Why do the players feel the need to do this? Was the crowd a bit of a sooky sooky wah wah crowd when things aren't going right? Is this what the players think of the crowd?

I don't know. I've only seen the one quarter so far.
Only 9 notes? How easy can it be!

I think this really adds to the atmosphere and is great interaction between the players and fans.

Couldn't get to the game yesterday and watched it on telly. Loved when Cressa scored, ran to the Brewgongle stand and gestured to the crowd to lift, wheeled around and ran towards the O'Reilly and did the same.

Classic stuff. Answers any questions I had about the effect of the crowd on a home team.

I reckon more ppl in victoria turn up to reserve games and training sessions than an average rugby league game. How can u like that game, it is so damn boring and ppl who follow it are so into it. When are they gonna realise that their sport sux!

Note that i insult league, not union.
Using hypothesis testing via confidence intervals:
Nick Davis mark inside 50 = goal

Can never understand why league people dont like Union, and vice versa. They are quite similar.

I guess its the same as the AFL fans who bag the International Rules games. I'll never understand why. You've got the same players, and very similar rules, skill sets, game flow.

                      RE International Rules

Yes, they are the same players in the International Rules, maybe most of the same skills etc...

But the one thing in the International Rules that makes it totally not footy is the shape of the ball. The ball is probably the most unique part of our predominantly kicking code and it is this ball which young footballers grow up with and get used to. I think that when the IR is held in Aussie, we should use this ball and when in Ireland use the round ball...see how they handle it then!
                      Go you mighty BLOODBOYS!

Sounds fair to me . I'd just like to see an International Rules game . Iguess I must be about the only person in the world who wont fork out for pay tv and we never get a game here in Sydney - the gakes always go to the traditonal footy states

but I thinik you could get a good crowd in Sydney ; there's big irish migrant/descendents population so Australia v Ireland in anything could be a winner if promoted right .. then get them hooked to follow the AFL and the swannies

You don't need pay TV - for at least the last 3 or 4 years all the games have been shown on free-to-air.

I would like to see a game in Sydney too. I was at last year's games in Dublin and it's a great game to watch.
