    ?The Red and the White?

    Cheer, Cheer, the Red and the White,
    Honour the name, by day and by night;
    Lift that noble banner high,
    Shake down the thunder from the sky.
    What though the odds be great, or small,
    Swans will go in and win over all;
    While her loyal sons are marching
    Onward to Victory.

      I think it's actually called the 'Notre Dame March'. It's a takeoff of the Notre Dame University song in America.

        even if you did know the words, you could be forgiven for not recognising that (ahem) banjo version they keep trotting out each week.
        Time to march for the Red and White

                You can listen to two versions of it here, personally I like the 1972 version

                  I love the banjo version too. My GF just rolls her eyes when I start playing the air banjo after a win
                  Only 9 notes? How easy can it be!

                    At the AM Luffy played a 'pop' version of the song. Does any one know anything about it??

                      It was from a CD they put out about 5 years ago. It had the team song, that dance mix, and a couple of other songs - one of them was "Three cheers for Roosy, Roos Roos Roos" to the tune of Click Go the Shears, plus a couple of other songs.

                            Swan Song

                            I definently prefer the earlier version. The '99 version sounds poxy(I haven't used that word for years but it seems apt) GO THE BANJO SOLO
                            Hating Collingwood since I found out they hired a trucky to hit Pratt, robbing us of the '35 grand final

                              The banjo rocks hard

                              Love it, just sounds more "traditional" and old-fashioned, just the way it should.

                              177th Senior AFL Match - Round 4, 2009 - Sydney vs Carlton, SCG. This is obviously out of date. I suppose I'll update it once I could be bothered sitting down with the fixture and working it out....
