John Longmire said they would not know until the scan tomorrow but that the club doctors were expecting bad news

As Roos said anytime is a bad time to lose Ball, but to lose him now is as bad a time as you can get - with LRT , Miecklejohn and Doyle all not ready to play.
Very worrying - I hope this weeks efforts are to analyse the oppositions ruckmen because we will be feeding off them by the looks of it.

Best case 1-2 weeks/worst season, Funny it looked like he just popped it and could be best case I have done the same thing twice playing union and pops just like balls seemed to on the replay which I have replayed a hundred times just hoping it would change each time. I will keep replaying it and hope does

Some players seem to get over injuries quickly, others don't.

Am I being a bit pessimistic in assuming that Balls season is over?

              Or realistic?

Ball didn't look happy at all and wasn't in the circle to sing the song. He looked very despondent. Please hope like previously stated it popped back in but has only bruised muscles. Can't afford to lose him so important to us all. Also feel he seems to give the team encouragement. They seemed despondent too. Also very important to get him back and get him signed up before he gets too down.
Ball is a vital cog in the Swans wheel.

Goodesy did a great job in the ruck in his absence, however I thought it wore him out and hurt his field play, ie dropping marks and so on. So it seems we can't have one without sacrificing the other.

I really thought we missed Bally down back where he can be relied upon to take those big game saving marks. Freo were marking all over the top of us at one point in the 3rd.

If we can get Doyley back soon, he can be the tall up forward and Goodsey permanently dropping back when needed. Doyley is a big IF though.

Yes I am worried too. I can cop most injuries but this one leaves me concerned.

Out for the season (on afl.com.au)!!

"As a player he simply should not have been able to do the things he did. Leo was a 185cm, 88kg full-back and played on some of the biggest, fastest and best full-forwards of all time, and constantly beat them." Roos.

Time will tell how important he is to the rest of the season. I'm worried....

We do need 'someone' to step up and fill the ruck void and some big game experience would be fantastic. Unfortunately the young blokes are injured as well. crap!

damn damn and damn. Ball's great form this year is one reason the team is flying...he's taking the heat from goodsie, allowing him to help out more in defence and attack...and he's kicked goals as well!! it's a very serious blow for the rest of the season, and shows up our ruck deficiencies a bit. I just hope one of the other injured talls will be right to go soon, if not against adelaide.
"Davis...Davis has kicked 2...he snaps from 40...dont tell me, dont tell me, hes kicked a goal....unbelievable stuff from Nick Davis, can you believe this, he's kicked 3 final quarter goals and Swans are within 3 points..."

The only good thing I guess was that it happened early in the game so essentially we still won without Ball playing. (although he did kick that fantastic goal)

Hardly worth cheering about I know, but at least it's something positive I guess.

Lets just pray that Doyle and LRT are fit ASAP.

Could be season turning, let's hope not, but he is so valuable to our balance.
