That was priceless, especially after the other comment when Ed was trying to pump it up by saying"And Glen,Carey comes back into the side this week"and all Archer says is "Yeah great". And then he says "but on a serious note,if Carey is playing, the swans have to win"

    What a classic

It's no joke...remember what happened the last time the Swans played a team with Wayne Carey in it, one team only kicked 3 goals

I also liked the comment in today Main Game in the telegraph. Ray Chesterton is doing an article on Ricciuto and starts it

"Sitting in the foyer of the Adealiade Crows club at West lakes can bring it's own surprises. Through the swinging glass doors strides a confident looking fit man in his 30s and our eyes lock momentarily

You can almost hear the wheels turning as he contemplates the options of who I might be, does he know me (he doesn't), should he say hello, should he stop and chat.

The notebook in my hand probably decided the issue.

        A Spostwriter!

A curt nod, then eyes straight ahead and through the doors to the inner workings of the club.

"And a good day to you Mr Carey".

Only werewolves confronted with silver bullets move faster than Carey does when threatened with a notebook."

I found that amusing this morning.

That comment is one of the most worked up comments that I have seen (at least in the past month!) I laughed out loud when I saw it. Let's just hope that Carey is a jinx for the team that plays against the Sydney Swans.

Got a bit sad when he said how nervous he was in 1996.
We were that close and we didn't even know it.

Apparently WC made a statement the he was nervous about the Swans in 96. I don't remember whe he said it, but it looks like he had.

                  Wasn't that.
Glenn Archer said he was so nervous appearing on the Footy Show and that he hadn't felt that nervous since 1996 GF.

Wayne Carey on the opposition always pumps us up! I hope we demolish him, but dont know if schaubs can handle him.

I reckon he might be able to these days.

Carey is virtually finished, and was overrated anyway. There are about 10 Adelaide players I'm more concerned about.

He has still a bit to offer yet, I'm just glad he is coming into the adelaide side after a few weeks lay off as he he will only play about 1/2 the game.

He was getting back to really good form, carey of old before he hurt himself.

That's what the Melbourne media will tell you. Everyone down here in the media wants him to succeed, if only it was the same with Lockett when he made his.

The night he hurt his knee, it was painful to listen to Gary Lyon and Dermie go on about him, when let's face it, he wasn't setting the world on fire.
