Parking Telstra Stadium Collingwood game

I just booked our parking for the Collingwood game. Usually we get P1. For the Essendon game we actually only got the tickets the week of the game.

For the Collingwood game I asked for P1 and was advised it was sold out and the closest was P3. Anyone wanting parking for this game had best organise it soon, otherwise may miss out.

Maybe this means we may be in for a big crowd.

This is all very interesting.
As a Sydneysider member we get parking tickets at Sydney Boys High for SCG and P3 for Telstra as part of our paid membership.

We are not entitled to parking at P1 ever - if as you say they are still available how come we never get P1 parking? The walk I don't mind it is the principle of the whole set up.

Swans need to support the members paying big money and get the best benefits for us.

I just spoke to the lovely people at ticketek and had my original park refunded and now have a ticket for P1 I'm a happy girl now.

Janpa How much extra do you pay for the parking entitlement? My ticket with booking and postage cost me $16.50. Perhaps if it's less, they give the closer spots to the people paying the extra???

Walking wouldn't be too bad, except my nephew tends to look at everything around him and not at where he's going and it takes us about 10 minutes longer with him, then without him.

I guess the walk up the hill could justify the pie and chips inside

I had a big beef with the Swans over this issue last year. They obviously get the P3 tickets cheap. I agree with you Janpa, it's a very poor approach.

P3 is almost as far from SA (depending on where you seats are) as Central station is from the SCG.

I've never been to Stadium Australia but I know how far it is from Central to the SCG and if I paid all that money to get parking tickets from the club, I'd be a bit annoyed.

As of Wednesday Aug 6, there was STILL P1 parking available at the Olympic Stadium...got ours from Ticketek in Elizabeth Street, in the city.


Mind you, it's ripoff city again...price has jumped from $11 to $15...
