I've already done the rounds on the email list with this info, but here it is here.
As you can see, I have contacted the Brisbane Lions in the hope of having an area cordoned off for the Swans Cheer Squad in the General Admission area at the Gabba. Naturally all Sydney/Melbourne based Swans fans are very welcome (just as long as they keep the drinking down within the Cheer Squad area).
As you no doubtedly saw on Sunday, the considerable efforts I made on Sunday to have Cheer Squad flags brought to Adelaide were obviously not in vain, despite me having to bolt straight from the airport to Bunnings to buy $50 worth of flagpoles with my own money.
Lugging the flags to Brisbane/Adelaide has nearly killed me this year. But as far as I'm concerned it has been well worth it. I'm dead-set keen on having an area where people can show their support for our great team. But to do that, I need YOU, the Swans supporters to support ME in the efforts I'm making to get everything organised.
To those who are going, do you reckon you could meet me at some stage during the Hawthorn match so that I can give out an even amount of equipment. I hear that Brisbane are on the war path of things such as flag sizes
, so I'll be bringing some of the smaller 1 metre flags we use at Northern Spirit soccer matches. (anyone who was at the Gabba last season will know what I'm talking about!
) But I'll be needing somebody to help take some of the flag sticks tc etc.
To those who are thinking of going up, why not come and help us. You might even like it!
So far I know these people are coming
myself

The Jay
Alex Evans
Boofhead

Annette from Brisbane
Greg Bell
Daniel, Greg's son
Robbie Ando
any more keen on coming up?
