Young Hawk, Sam Mitchell is being highly touted in some circles to win the Rising Star award this year.

If Schneider has another blinder and Mitchell's colours are lowered by whoever, Schneider could firm in the running.

Gee, this kid is built tough! He'll be a stiff challenge for Schneiderman in the Rising Star award....he killed us at the centre clearances all game, grabbing the ball and banging it forward. A prime example of how the Mayblooms just wanted it more.

In the eyes of a Hawks fan I was at the game with, Mitchell was BOG and he's probably a shoe-in for the RS at this stage - unless the judges get duped by Polak. I reckon Schneider will be fighting out third spot with Sampi and maybe Wells.

That said, the same Hawks fan raised his eyebrows a couple of times at Schneider, each time turning round and asking who the hxxx that was. I think the first time was when he raced off the defensive 50 and bombed the ball forward like a missile. And the other time was Adam's second goal - which was a beauty.
