    Capper

It was reported in one of the Sunday papers that this @@@@ walked out on Friday night b/c his ego got the better of him.

Am I the only one who thinks the club should cut any association it has with this moronic self appreciating git?

So what if he didn't make the cut..he played two good seasons and well done. But he left the swans for more money up north and to be honest that's not a loyal thing to do.

I really think the quicker we disassociate with this git the better.

And he has to hide to say that he put bums on seats in 86 and 87. Well Capper in those days tickets were given out for free.

to be nominated is a high accolade and i think capper deserved to be in the final 66(?).
he should not have expected to beat locket or pratt for this position and he is a one position player.
i understood that it was the swans that let him go to brisbane because we couldn't afford him...i.e. he didn't want to go.
be kind Diego, he was a very important and talented part of the swans history and i am unhappy if he has truely 'spat the dummy'

Yeah i understand your point Red, but to be fair he shouldnt left b/c he didnt get a spot in the team.

He made comments about Plugger kicking the majority of his goals at St Kilda, which is a fair point but he then semi bagged him.

It doesnt suprise me one bit if he did just stand up and leave, and it seems like he did. The paper quoted him spitting the dummy.

I never liked this mullet wearing 80's relic. Too arrogant for his own boots.

If he didnt want to go he would have accepted a pay cut.

Which paper, Diego? I've been trying to look for any references today and can't find any! Without knowing what's been said, IMHO redunderthebed has it pretty much right. If anyone deserved the FF position more than Lockett, it's Pratt. To get past BOTH of them... well....

I do wish Waz would stop making a fool of himself everytime he opens his mouth. He's good entertainment value, anyway.

177th Senior AFL Match - Round 4, 2009 - Sydney vs Carlton, SCG. This is obviously out of date. I suppose I'll update it once I could be bothered sitting down with the fixture and working it out....

If this is true, good riddance, Warwick. Don't bang your ego on the door as you go.

Honestly... did he really think he was going to get in ahead of Lockett and Pratt?

                Capper huffed but Lockett's chuffed
                August 10 2003

Warwick Capper walked out of the Swans' Team of the Century function and said he would snub the club after failing to make the list.

Capper left his seat and went to the bar during the Friday night dinner and was still fuming yesterday. "I walked out," he said. "Yeah, that's right. I went to the bar and didn't go back in. I thought it was an insult that I wasn't chosen.

"There were some blokes who I didn't think deserved to be there. Tony Lockett played most of his career at St Kilda and deserves to be in that club's best team.

"I expected to be in the team. I was a big part of establishing the Swans in Sydney and I drove membership up by 60 per cent."

Capper said he would now devote more of his energies to helping out his other club, the Brisbane Lions. "I do a lot for the Swans, but now I know what they think of me," he said.

Son of a.... You found that online AFTER I typed all that out??

But I guess the quotes coming from Wazza's mouth really did need to be said twice to be believed!

Hard to believe isnt it. He thinks he is bigger than the club.

Maybe he should stick to his "starring role" in the Fat every Tuesday? Joanne and he are such classy well-developperd characters. The sad thing is that all the acting is actually real.

A player once said to him that he was so thick he needed an IQ test. His reply was that there was nothing wrong with his eyes!

So Warwick Capper reckons he was a better full forward than Bob Pratt and Tony Lockett ? Well he would be the only person that even thought he had any chance of getting a spot in TOC ahead of tbose two (oops sorry 2 people I forgot Joanna)

He should get together with Anthony Mundine some time and exchange notes on "How to be Humble When You Are As Great As I Am"

I think he was one of those who forgot to read his invitation as Bron mentioned in her report. But that doesn't surprise me. Had him sign my Honour the Names book (obviously before he spat) and wasn't impressed at all.
