OK, I heard Capper in an interview on MMM radio yesterday and here are his thoughts....

He stated that he agreed that Plugger got FF ahead of Pratt.
He said that he thought he deserved a spot on the interchange bench.

They listed the games played by both Plugger and Capper and the goals scored during their time with Sydney and they were actually reasonably close with Plugger of course pipping Capper.

We need to remember also that Capper had a HUGE hand in sparking the interest in AFL in Sydney, and without him there is a reasonable chance that the Swans wouldn't be here right now.

Capper also said the he thought he deserved a spot ahead of Bayes, Cressa and Moorwood.

I would probably agree with that.

But the way he walked out in a hissy fit was pretty embarrassing for hima nd the club and he needs a big reality check about how to conduct himself in public, but then he always has, hasn't he?

He also said that he didn't bear a grudge and that it wouldn't affect his long term relationship with the club.
Of course it may affect it from tthe clubs side of things.....

      Things to acknowledge:

Capper is a solipsist with the intellectual capacity of a barnacle.

He had two very successful years with Sydney, thanks primarily to the service he received from a stellar midfield. He does not deserve to be mentioned in the same breath as Lockett or Pratt.

The best place for a Sun-Herald is between the floorboards and the linoleum.

You will one day read of the demise of a particular paper boy who peddles this crap rag at 7.30 am on a Sunday outside my bedroom window assisted by the harsh blast of a whistle.
It's very hard to live in a studio apartment in San Jose with a man who's learning to play violin. That's what she told the police when she handed them the empty revolver.

Capper is an enigma...really surprised about his comments... I wouldn't have had him in MY TOC, but would have had him in MY nominations, which shd be an honour in itself.
I had a lot of time for him when he was playing, but he was not a grafting ff....we had a paRTICULARLY gifted centreline/onball division in Woz's day, feeding him. Diesel...Healy...Murphy...Morwood...Wright...Mitch ell!!!
That doesn't take away the fact that he was exciting to watch and topped the swans goalkicking for four seasons, with 2 great years in 86 and 87...(mind you, minton-connell topped it for 3)
It would be best if Wozza didn't open his mouth, and quietly faded into the background, if not obscurity....he can be quite embarrassing at times...
"Davis...Davis has kicked 2...he snaps from 40...dont tell me, dont tell me, hes kicked a goal....unbelievable stuff from Nick Davis, can you believe this, he's kicked 3 final quarter goals and Swans are within 3 points..."

            caps

firstly i didn't see danny weidler at the team of the century do. he is just a muck-raking gossip colomunist. u ever see him write decent articles ?
capper Does not deserve to be in the team , certainly not ahead of lockett or pratt, but he does deserve credit(ie nominee in top 66) as he was apart of this clubs history. He obviously had a bit of talent , kicking nearly 200goals in 86/87. But he is entitled to his opinion, even if we disagree.
A player like capper would be handy aquisition to our team at the moment

As I said on bigfooty, Capper was too pissed by the time the forward line was announced to have been able to get up there and accept had he made it onto the team! If he wishes to cut ties it's his problem that he's a sore loser and an egomaniac and it'll be no skin off our noses.

he's still cool, even if he's a total dick sometimes

Oh well, I suppose he can think himself unlucky as he did put the team on the map in the 80's though acts of stupidity and self gloryication.

I heard, from a usually reliable source, he also complained about his seat at the game Saturdy night.

Nope, because I didn't start following the club until 1988 after he left the club. When he came back in 1991 I couldn't care less what he did in 86 and 87.

On people being negative on this site, well excuse me, but I don't think that we should praise them unless they earn it and what I saw on Saturday Night at half time sicken me. Why clap them off and say well done, when they have just put in their worse effort in a half all season.
