    Schneiderman!

Our very own cult superhero, Adam Schneider, has taken time out from the world's longest autograph queue to sign something else... a two year contract extension!

"I hope to be here for a lot longer, my whole career would be nice" he said yesterday.

This was a little tidbit in the HS, at the bottom of the Paul Kelly Race article.
    We hate Anthony Rocca
    We hate Shannon Grant too
    We hate scumbag Gaspar
    But Leo WE LOVE YOU!

    Schneider signs two-year deal
    By Tim Morrissey
    14aug03
SWANS teenage sensation Adam Schneider is the first of this season's impressive young guns to be re-signed by the club after stitching up a new two-year deal on Tuesday.

The 19-year-old told The Daily Telegraph he wanted to follow Paul Kelly and play out his entire football career with the Swans.

"I hope to be here for a lot longer - my whole career would be nice," Schneider said yesterday ahead of Sunday's clash against premiers the Brisbane Lions.

The nuggety forward with a devastating left foot has been a revelation for the Swans in his rookie season in the seniors.

After 19 rounds, Schneider is the team's third leading goalkicker (27 goals) behind Barry Hall (50) and Michael O'Loughlin (33).

With Schneider's deal done, the Swans are in the process of re-signing Lewis Roberts-Thomson before the finals and are believed to be well down the track with sealing a deal with promising rookie Mark Powell.

The trio are coming off their mandatory two-year fixed contracts set by the AFL for drafted players and would have been on the open market for the first time.

Injury-plagued Heath James will come into the side to play the Lions in Brisbane. It will be only his sixth senior game in four seasons with Sydney, capping off a remarkable story of perseverance.

James has battled his way back from 11 torn hamstrings and a ruptured patella tendon in his left knee to play the past six games in the Swans seconds.

And coach Paul Roos added three- game rookie James Meiklejohn would join James as the two "ins" for the Lions match.

he'll be a true superstar for Sydney this kid. Just love him!

I reckon he'd be one of the favourites! 27 goals, played every game and helped win matches (3 goals rd 5 v Melbourne). Best of all, we won't lose him to homesickness

Polack by a mile has been outstanding as Kpp for the Dockers this year.

Mitchell is definitely in front of Polack IMO and a little in front of Schneids (esp after last week when both were good but Sammy more influential)
"I'll acknowledge there are more talented teams in the competition but I won't acknowledge that there is a better team in the competition" Paul Roos March 2005

I missed that one Dpw - excusable given that they don't show many Freo games here in Sydney, still reckon Schneider's a chance.

I'd go for Mitchell, or Polak, with Schneids and Sampi the outsiders.

                    I'm on the Chandwagon!!!

If you cannot compete for the premiership, it's better to be young and exciting than middle-aged and dowdy.
