Them's a good photo!! Out of 200 action shots taken, that's the one that makes it all worthwhile.
Of course, I'm just bitter that I don't have a lens THAT good!!!! And of course also that I'm merely a mediocre photographer. But mostly the lens.

It's a great image in its own right but what I thought was remarkable was the SIZE of it. In case you didn't notice Des it's a 1647x2203 pixel image - very unusual to find that on a news website - that's a photo quality image - even at poster size it would look OK.Comment

That's what I was referring to when I was talking about the lens
Obviously minimal cropping, if at all, so the photographer must have been able to get right into it. Might struggle with poster sized, but certainly would look sensational as an 8x10 print.
Err.. Might save this one.. high-res images are hard to come by... very useful for those times when one might hypothetically need to create graphics for theoretical not-for-profit websites
