    Mal Michael

I reckon this guy has mammoth mental scares which come to the surface when playing the Swans. A few shellackings from Plugger a few years back seem to affect his ability now when he runs out against the red n white! He was damn average today, or at least shown up by BBBH!

Maybe a costly game for Mal, as he was a possibility to be traded to the Swans. It seems him and Aker have done their best to avoid joining us!

Like kyboshing (sp?) your neighbours when they try and sell their house, i.e. sunbathing naked in the back yard.

Although we know that Mal is very capable and he is definitely in my sights. We have money, we have a position and Mal fits nicely IMO.

By the way, crowd for Telstra should be mammoth if the weather is good.

Maybe he doesn't do that well against us cause he wants to be one of us!

Mal Michael? Why would we want him?

          Oh yeah, I forgot . . . Schauble can't play on the big strong forwards like Alistair Lynch . . . .

I reckon MM is great stuff. I'd love to see him in the R&W next year. Imagine the luxury of having interchangeable FB's. He's not having a great one against us this year. That doesn't change his stature as a KPP.

Schaubes has been fantastic this year... but we're still one key backman short, in any case.

yeah I wont say no to Mal. We still were exposed by Adeliade and Hawthorn in lack of tall strong KPP.

                  Mal would slot in nicely.

I would rather a player like him than another midfielder like Akers.

Being sensible as to what we have though Powell, James, LRT even Sundqvist, one of them looks likely to develop into a key defender.

IMO a fat arsed centreman with foot and handskils is what we need - young gun midefielders.

                    And a developing ruckman (must)

We don't need Mal Michael. We already have a top FB in Andrew Schauble. Has been playing top footy for 10 weeks and is rarely beaten, and hardly makes a mistake, and runs off his opponent, and takes timely marks and does heaps of 1% every week.

                        Yeah I agree.

But having Mal around wouldnt hurt. But I am not too fused if we dont get him.

We have a few that need some more developing as mentioned and all will be sweet in a year or so.

thats what i was thinking when watching the game, didnt wanna rough up any of his future teammates

schauble had a good game in shutting down his 'daddy' lynch! although he did still do some stupid stuff in free play... great game though...

I wanted us to show an interest in MM when he came up for trade by the junior magpies... I actually think he's a pretty good full back. Schaubs has had a great year, but he has sometimes struggled against the bullocking forwards such as Neitz (so did Dunks BTW). I think our backline overall has been excellent, with a few hiccups. Saddo being played out of position, for example. Surely, a good top quality FB/CHB should not be so glibly disregarded if he were to become available...it gives the others in the backs more scope as well...

To the wrath of many on here, I'd have even been willing to take WC if it could have helped us win a premiership!!!
"Davis...Davis has kicked 2...he snaps from 40...dont tell me, dont tell me, hes kicked a goal....unbelievable stuff from Nick Davis, can you believe this, he's kicked 3 final quarter goals and Swans are within 3 points..."
