Surely, a good top quality FB/CHB should not be so glibly disregarded if he were to become available..
Roos said only a couple of weeks ago that he is happy with the defensive set-up and sees no pressing need for a "key" defensive player. He said that if one falls into his lap he'll certainly take it, but otherwise there are more important areas for recruiting.

I still want him even though we have (long term) Bolton & Saddington with Hunt, Powell, LRT, James and Dempster all in with a run....No gorillas, though. Now if we could just clone Barry Hall we would be set!!

Roosie also said this is just a rebuilding year, which it is, but to finish possibly in the top 4 or even the top 2, I take what Roosie says with a grain of salt, not quite a pinch, but a grain or two!
But, if that's what the coach wants, I'll go along with him, he's done OK by me so far in his tenure!!!
"Davis...Davis has kicked 2...he snaps from 40...dont tell me, dont tell me, hes kicked a goal....unbelievable stuff from Nick Davis, can you believe this, he's kicked 3 final quarter goals and Swans are within 3 points..."

Maybe the midfield, but surely a gorilla backmen is as equally high as a midfielder! We need one imo

Say and want are two different things.

Enough with these gorilla backmen. Just coz they play in defense doesnt make them neanderthals. There's only one "gorilla backman" playing this season - Mick Martyn. I don't exactly think we want to see him running around in the Red n White.

I reckon midfielders are the most important for sure, with cressa and maxfield getting a bit old. Williams is here only for a couple more years.

I reckon schneider will make a good midfielder when his fitness gets better. I think his run in the defensive area against the lions was part of the plan for him to become a midfielder.

But midfielders and a gorilla backman will set us up pretty well i reckon.

Nick Davis mark inside 50 = goal
