    The back six

A lot of critics have seen them as a collection of spare parts, cobbled together somehow and hanging on for dear life. Bloody hell, didn't they hang on today!!! Schauble, Mathews, Saddington, C Bolton, Kennelly, Barry, James, LRT - I know that's more than six, but you have to include the interchange - they were MAGNIFICENT! Bolton and Schauble were SPECIAL!
He reminds him of the guys, close-set, slow, and never rattled, who were play-makers on the team. (John Updike, seeing Josh Kennedy in a crystal ball)

that's true, they stop goals and set most up too from the run of Barry and Kennelly.
"As a player he simply should not have been able to do the things he did. Leo was a 185cm, 88kg full-back and played on some of the biggest, fastest and best full-forwards of all time, and constantly beat them." Roos.
Leo Barry? you star! We'll miss ya, ''Leapin''.

Our defence has actually been pretty good for the last few years. Eade left something there for Roos to work with, and though the personnel change from season to season, the effectiveness generally doesn't.

Will be waiting anxiously for the news of Leo's elbow. If we lose him it will be as critical as losing Ball, given his role in the overall structure. How brave was he today, playing on after that injury and never letting up.

IMO the backline has benefited from being coached by Roos whilst he was assisting Eade.

I'm a big wrap on Leo.

Just imagine if Jude was in the backline as well, we could say it was held together by nuts and bolts
Here's my heart and you can break it
I need some release, release, release
        We need

          Critics know sweet FA.
Our backline has been quite sensational for a few seasons now. Admittedly losing Dunks looked a blow, but (and by all means correct me if im wrong) our defence has been top two or three for a couple of seasons now, in having least points scored against it...
I don't think it's been cobbled together at all...I think it's been moulded, firstly by Roosie, into a cohesive force...
I also think that Sydney creeps under the radar of the melbourne media, as we're that far away...they are writing 4 melbournians after all... We (and Brizzie, freo, eagles, thugs and crows) just get on and do it unnoticed.
Then, at the editorial conference it's: "$%6^ , I've just realised we have 6 interstate teams in the top 8!! How can we put them down and make ourselves feel better!"
Caro: "We could always drag out the Wallace story again."
Sheehan: "What about doing a swans hit financial crisis story again."
Caro: "What about a story on how Richmond suffer because of the salary cap concessions given to Sydney and Brizzie?"

"Davis...Davis has kicked 2...he snaps from 40...dont tell me, dont tell me, hes kicked a goal....unbelievable stuff from Nick Davis, can you believe this, he's kicked 3 final quarter goals and Swans are within 3 points..."
