Is it Roosy who has changed the Swans this year? Or is it just the players fighting to win? Tell me your thoughts!
Is it Roos?

From the way the team has constantly praised his coaching I would say most definitely.
His preseason strategy of focusing on sprint rather than endurance work (eg the 100 100's) seems to have paid off, with the team managing to outrun most sides late in the match, as has his "enjoy your footy" mantra.
Things had gone stale under Rocket."My theory is that the universe is made out of stupidity because it's more plentiful than hydrogen" - Frank Zappa -
I give Roos a lot of credit. he did his homework, speaking with the best coaches in the world at various sports and picking their brains. Putting their best ideas into play.
I agree his mantra of "enjoy your footy" has unleshed the guys, and they're now willing to try things, that under Eade they wouldn't have for fear of being dragged.
I also think the mentor role has been very important. Young guys in a new city away from their families need the stability of a family unit, I and get the feeling that this is how they see themselves as an extended family. Having the older player to look to for advice whether it be of a footy nature or on a personal level is important.
Come the last weekend in Septmeber I'll be so proud when I see Roos along side Maxfield with the Premiership Cup.Here's my heart and you can break it
I need some release, release, release
We need
Love and peaceComment

Get your own coach Clinton...Roosy is ours and he's very happy here.
No one else pump Roosy up, Clinton just want's a fan's eye view of Roosy.
After all, Tiger's heirachy are obsessed with a coach's cachet in the eye's of supporters.

A bit of everything for mine. Getting rid of Eade was the main point.
- Players stepping up
- Reasonable run with injury
- Our stars playing well, especially with the emergance of Goodesy.Bloods

On Roosy...
I think he has done a heap to inspire the players to new and greater heights. I do recall a lot of people saying to me at the start of the season 'you have chosen roos based on emotion and he has got nothing'. Well, those people do certainly have egg on their faces now! I think he is not only a good coach, but also a great manager and psychologist (ok, maybe not professional, but he must know a bit about the human psyche!). I think he is a great reader of people and knows how to get the best out of them. Hopefully he is a great manager and keeps planning for the future all the while we are on this great ride so that we can stay a great team and not fade out like we did under Rocket's rule.Go you mighty BLOODBOYS!Comment

It's both players and Roosie... 40:60...
If it were "just" the players I'd be asking why they didn't perform like they are doing now for Rodney.
I believe it's roosie's no yelling (well not much anyway) no dragging style of coaching, coupled with our newly rediscovered high energy, running brand of football....
Then again, it could also be my lucky scraf or the lucky noodles...."Davis...Davis has kicked 2...he snaps from 40...dont tell me, dont tell me, hes kicked a goal....unbelievable stuff from Nick Davis, can you believe this, he's kicked 3 final quarter goals and Swans are within 3 points..."Comment

Of course it's Roos. 356 games and brains to go with it tells the story.
He knows what AFL footballers need to do to perform and he knows how they should prepare themselves fitness wise. He hardly sustained a bad injury in his career, and hardly played a bad game.
He knows our game inside out and he understands people.
He understands the mind set required to be a top player.
A bloody genuis for mine.Comment
