The foot needs to come down my friend!
LOL Dave, Unfortunately it's a payback for little work related jaunt to Auckland for the Bledisloe last weekend, can't do everything with kids I guess..........

And besides I need to save up some credits for the finals.

The Sturt-Port Adelaide GF of 1976 pulled in 66,897 at Footy Park... and the 65 GF between the same 2 teams pulled in 62,543.
And, if I recall correctly, the gates were broken down in the 76 final and loads of non-paying supporters got in on top of the paying crowd...
I was there, it all happened (they reckon there was closer to 70k because of non-payers), plus more, they made people who were sitting on the fence to jump the fence and sit inside the boundary on the oval itself to squeeze more in. When the players ran out they all got a bit disorientated because they couldn't see any fence.
The second one was at Adelaide Oval, they don't let more than about 35k in there now............ glory days!!!!!!

But maybe they might even just beat these two this weekend, or a final should maybe.

Only three will be required my friend and I'm sure we can manage the whole family to go to the last of those

I'm looking forward to siting back on the couch and watching the game. I think that if the crowd is over 60,000 (which by the looks of it will be) it will be fantastic. I'm saving up for the finals so I can't go.

The largest I can think of was 75,000 something for the last game at Waverley in 1999.... I don't think the Swans can take credit for that, though. I know that this is the largest crowd for a game in the Sydney era... not sure about South.

Same here - getting ready to sledge the black and whites as well... just trying to recall those insults from year two. Don't think they'll understand anything else.
