One of the major criticisms pre-season...

Was that we don't have any real stars. It was widely said that while it was important to have a great team spirit and good hard working players, you need guys with freakish ability and good form to go far. This was mentioned on On The Couch this evening, when Walls and Sheahan said that Goodes and Hall had stepped up to the superstar category. I agree.

In fact, I reckon the game yesterday could be considered to be a turning point for the Swans. Sure, it was still a win composed pretty much of sheer hard work, courage and maybe a dose of luck... but our STARS were the ones who led from the front!

Hall, Goodes, Magic and Willo were all among our best... possibly the first time ever that all four of these guys have had a really good game on the same day. These are our most naturally talented senior players, and to see what they can do when they are all on song was exciting.

We do have stars. They say that it takes star power to win a premiership. Yeah? Bring on September then.
    We hate Anthony Rocca
    We hate Shannon Grant too
    We hate scumbag Gaspar

A bit more consistency from the likes of Goodes and Hall is needed before they can be termed stars. While they have the talent to win games off their own boot, they don't do it as often as the likes of McLeod, Hird, Buckley or Voss.
