    Melbourne Fans

Could attendees of final vs Melbourne match at the 'G get together in a few nominated locations to build a formidable Swans cheer?

There actually already is a Melbourne based Cheer Squad. I'm not sure where they will be sitting for the Round 22 game, but when I was down there for the game v Richmond, we were sitting in the Olympic Stand (left forward pocket, Punt Rd end).

If you want to be around Swans supporters, and make a lot of noise, tracking down the Cheer Squad is the easiest way to do it.

    I'm on the Chandwagon!!!

If you cannot compete for the premiership, it's better to be young and exciting than middle-aged and dowdy.

The Cheersquad is sitting at the same place that we did for the Richmond game. I think the proper name for where we sat was the Olympic stand Bay H5. Just go through any of the gates in the olympic stand and you're set.

LOL - the only way that there will be a decent attendance to that game is when 20k swannies supporters rock up! that would mean the attendance would be 20,002 though

For Melbourne matches it is often hard to get adjacent to Cheer Squad so everyone is spread right out, Telstra is even worse but MCG can be similar, especially for well supported clubs, (OK Hammo Dees do not have that problem!)

There will be details early next week on this board giving times and places for our pre match meet up.Those who went before the Hawthorn and Richmond will remember that we all met out the back of the pub and had a great time.

Everyone the Swans CS will be sitting in the Olympic Stand, while the Melbourne CS will be sitting behind the goals in the Southern Stand.

Thanks guys for the serious answers re Melbne support, lets mobilise next year at dome games cos' we get too spreadout at them on the top level and it gets pretty lonely against Pies and Richmond!

Will look in at the Cricketers definitely.

I'll be there. Hope you don't mind the odd NSW interloper with your Bloods faithful at the Cricketers. Dunno when we'll be getting there, but I have a 7am flight. So once I dump my bags etc, I'll be right to go.

I've been to every Dome match this year. The Cheer Squad are always there and are well worth getting involved with. Sitting with/near them is pretty much the only way to be in an unreserved seat on the bottom tier. Usually the Swans set-seat members sit on the other half forward line. At the G against the Tigers they were in one whole bay on the half forward line.

Getting everyone together in the upper tier GA section at the Dome is basically impossible.

So why not congregrate around the Melbourne-based Cheer Squad. They are mainly great people. And with Peter Hatley coming down on another of his 24 hour sojourns, the singing and chanting should be as good if not better than it was last season.

And yes, Jixygirl does know you Charlie! She was in the front row against Carlton next to that new loud bloke.

OK details for the Cricketers Arms for next Saturday are as follows

Where: Cricketers Arms on Punt Rd, the first pub on the right if your heading towards Collingwood after the Richmond Train Station
When: From 11am, would be earlier but I have to work an early morning job for once. grrrr

We normally head across to the ground at about 1.15-1.30
The Arms normally have a BBQ out the back for those who want to have a bite to eat.

A huge group of us will be sitting in the beer garden out the back if it isn't raining.
