Rugby World Cup Final on sale - queues hundreds of meters long in the city

It shows a complete incompetence from Ticketek. They should set up a separate server for selling Rugby cup tickets. This is unexcusable. They're not only jeopardising a ticket selling for the Swans game but also other events they're representing. I wish somebody would sue them for damages to teach them a lesson.

        Get a grip - its only 9.15am !!

Anyone who left buying their ticket until today, when the World Cup rugby tickets go on sale (probably the world's biggest sports event this year) should anticipate some delay. Good grief.

          RL World Cup Tickets....

On Friday, August 22, the prestigious Sydney games - opening ceremony, semi-finals, third place play-off and final will go on sale (Ticketek).

No wonder the server is busy! Maybe about midday I'll look again.

Ticketek have released different games all week for RWC with no real issues. I bet by 10.30 am it will have died down.

I just heard that the RWC Final sold out in 8 minutes.

In fairness, the RWC is a massive event.

4.00pm yesterday purchased extra two tickets in Swans Members Reserve Bays 119-117. Nothing much left elsewhere from what I can gather.
              Love those Swans

I'm not saying that RWC should be ignore or anything, what I'm saying that Ticketek is a professional organisation and because of that they should anticipate that there would be a big demand for those tickets and act upon it.
We had similar problems with T**** Dome here in Docklands when people got stranded outside tha stadium, because they were unable to process tickets fast enough for those who bought them on a game day. Ultimately it was losss to the clubs, because a lot of fans turned away discussed. Even Eddie ciritisized the ticketing fiasco a couple of times (of course for Magpie games).
Was run for RWC tickets a suprise?

This is where I sit. There has never been a problem finding seats in this section for the other games, although the crowd will be much bigger. This may be the one seciton that has some space, coz if you go to ticketek to buy guest passes for this area, you must show your Swans membership. On the other hand, since you can buy online for this game, people will be able to get passed this.

As we said before, if it was Geelong we were playing, the match would already be a sell out.

You barely rate for big crowds outside of Vic.

I can appreciate C'Wood's crowd pulling ability, but this time i think its got more to do with two teams going for the one spot, and one of those teams being Sydney .

Sydney love a winner.....and hype to match.

So much for the big crowd pullers. You barely rate at all the stadiums outside Victoria.
