    Willo

As holland was "at" Willo all night -- kneed, attempted trip and at least one king hit -- does anyone feel this might have been an "instruction" from the phylthy pies' heirarchy to rough him up? Evidently Willo was benched earlier in the game after receiving a previous blow...
"Davis...Davis has kicked 2...he snaps from 40...dont tell me, dont tell me, hes kicked a goal....unbelievable stuff from Nick Davis, can you believe this, he's kicked 3 final quarter goals and Swans are within 3 points..."

there was definitely something there. Willos turned into a great enemy of the black and white army. There is definitely some hatred that exists in his past team mates.

I just hope holland gets some punishment, we'll see whos laughing then.

I'm just so glad that buckley hardly touched the ball. Kirky is seriously turning into a great tagger. It's amazing that hes creating difficulty for the best players in the game.
Using hypothesis testing via confidence intervals:
Nick Davis mark inside 50 = goal

Kel said in the paper that more taggers should be like Kirk (aka the clean type of tagger).

      Definitely re: Willo

The Pies fans seemed to be booing him more than Davis as well especially when he kicked the 50 m penalty right in front of them

Willo was benched a few times in the night, so it definitely shook him up.

I just loved the fact when Willo came back on in the middle of the 3rd quarter which was the start of that mini-revival for us, he was totally composed and didn't let the first half incidents make him change the way he plays. Of course then Holland came at him again but that's another story

There would most definantly be times when players are instructed to take opposition players out of the match (physically and physchologically). Players like Willo - who play a running game need to be confident. An obvious attempt to take this confidence away if you ask me.

I have not forgotten the pies all refused to shake Davis? hand at the first game except his marker, Lonie I think.
Holland?s knees in the back looked dangerous and deliberate, someone was suspended , last year I think, for a far more innocuous looking knee, they just sort of rested it in and got a week or two. Melbne media saying pies were hard done by in the frees, most of the gap in frees was for in the back and were nearly all blatant.

Williams has been sensational in pretty much every game we've played against the Pies since he crossed over. That's why he'd have been targeted specifically at the weekend, rather than because he's an ex-Collingwood player himself (although the latter may be a reason for the former).

He definitely turns up his performance against his former club - sometimes I think it's to show Mr. Malthouse what he is missing by not having him at the club.

Even though he only had 15 disposals last weekend he definitely was vital to trying to kickstart the comeback and I've come to the conclusion the guy loves to play at Telstra Stadium.

                Willo's Telstra Stadium statistics:

                2002 - Essendon - 23 disposals (3 goals 1 behind)
                2002 - Carlton - 30 disposals (1 goal)
                2002 - Richmond - 20 disposals
                2003 - Carlton - 22 disposals (1 goal 1 behind)
                2003 - Essendon - 21 disposals (3 goals)
                2003 - Collingwood - 15 disposals (2 goals)

That 2002 Carlton match was the memorable Willo match, one of those matches I accidently taped over *slaps forehead* and regret doing so
