It's been bugging me for ages...
Stupid, yes, but who's Frosty?

Yep, Frosty is Daniel McPherson - for reasons that are not completely clear to me.
177th Senior AFL Match - Round 4, 2009 - Sydney vs Carlton, SCG. This is obviously out of date. I suppose I'll update it once I could be bothered sitting down with the fixture and working it out....

I've got a vague recollection that it was part of the 'most ugly' competition with Craig O'Brien and Daryn Cresswell back in the mid-nineties, and McPherson ended up labelled as "Frosty the Snowman", and I think O'B was "Barney Rubble".
But it was a while ago, and I may have it all arse about!Comment

I can't believe the poster of this thread is a Swans supporter if he doesn't know who Frosty is.
Must have been in a coma for the past 20 years if he is that old.
Frosty 13, you have every reason to be insulted/deflated by this thread.Comment

I asked Frosty himself a couple of years ago at the B&F where the name comes from and he told me it's something he's dad's always called him since he was young? Here's my heart and you can break it

I'd take Harford for Frosty. Frosty has been in Canberra for so long now that I understand why the weather has been cold down there.
Hey Lizz how many did you tip last week? I bummed out at 6 and uless I can hack into footytips.com.au, I will finish about 16th in a field of 25 (he says cringing at his own poor form). The Pain of Discipline is Nothing Like The Pain of DisappointmentComment

Haven't checked the ladder yet this week but from memory I think I got 6. Obviously bombed out on the Swans game and, probably along with all but the most optimistic Roos fan, also got the Adelaide/Roos game wrong. The rest were pretty much no-brainers I think.Comment

Guys, Frosty has been serviceable at best and has played a few good games, (he was awful in the 96 GF), and does not quite have the class for firsts consistently. I know quite A few fans who do like him and feel he has been hard done by, I don?t agree there he has had many chances and failed to cement his spot. Leo (with red hair) from the early nineties whose surname escapes me, comes to mind as someone who did not get a fair go! (or say, Kirk?y under Eade)Sports do not build character.
