    Bolton's Effort

Jude Bolton's effort in the last quarter against Collingwood was magnificent. When he chased down the ball on the outer wing and then tackled Walker. How it wasn't paid holding the ball, I will never know.

I'm sure it has been mentioned on the board throughout the week, but as I haven't been on here all week, I thought I better give it a mention.

That was a correct decision by the umpires. Measured against the standards that have generally been applied this year, the Collingwood player had no prior opportunity to get rid of the ball.

It was, however, a magnificent effort by Jude, and skilful too.

Checking by my watch, Jude should have caved into his old inconsistent form by now, he is running very late.

He doesn't look like turning up at all.

I am really happy with his form, really impressed and so is the rest of the AFL I reckon.

The other player I was a wrap for at last year's end, NF has showed some good form over the past 2 or 3 weeks as well.

He seems to really want to atone for a very quiet 2003. He just has to measure himself a little better at disposal time on long kicks but looks sharper by hand these days.
