I can't remember were I heard this, but can anyone confirm that the winner of the Collingwood and Brisbane game will have to play their preliminary in Melbourne.
If that's the case, and we beat Port, we'll get a home final at Telsta Stadium in week 3.

I reckon the same. UNLESS they go back to Round 22 and say, well Syd was 4th and Bris was 3rd so Bris host and Syd travel to MCG. BUT to me, if 4th beat 1st then we become 1st. Results of game (x) should not affect game (y) - that's why they scrapped the previous Final 8 (as is now used by NRL). And GOOD RIDDANCE to it!Originally posted by no1swan

Mate, im very glad with the results of the home and away season. I reckon we had pretty crap chances of making the finals before that last round.
However, i would have been happy with a home final in the elimination finals.
Did anyone see port play today? they are in hot form and it kinda hurts my confidence. Hope mickey is ok to get back soon. Also hope doyle will have a better effect.Using hypothesis testing via confidence intervals:

If we win, we are the lowest ranked winner in the top 4.
The winner of Pies v Lions will become the higehst ranked winner and therefore host the prelim.
If that winner is the Pies, then we would host a prelim in SydneyComment
