Just a question on the start time on Sundy.
It's set down for 2.30 local time meaning a 3pm start to Sydney coverage (10's schedule is still showing 2pm). Is this correct???

The game is scheduled to start at 2:30 PM ACST, which is 3:00PM EST (Syd-Bris-Melb); the match will be televised at 3:00PM in Sydney.

Channel 10's schedule will be updated later this week.

As the AFL site clearly states that the times are local then we will just have to wait for TEN to update their online schedule. They obviously pencil in their best guess. I'm sure they'll fix it in a day or so. It WILL be live though, I'm sure of that.

Friday's game is not being shown until 10:45. Sat arvo is live but Sat is being shown starting at 8:55 (not live but at least reasonable - it will be finished before midnight)

Considering the Friday night game doesn't start till 8-40 anyway, Ch10 haven't done a bad job in scheduling the games for the weekend.

If it was Bris-Wobbles on Friday night, they may well have moved it forward, but a Freo-Bummers clash, whilst appealing to us diehards, doesn't have the same appeal to the punters.

the LOSER of Coll/Bris will play the WINNER of Adel/WCoast.

We will play the winner of THAT in Sydney IF we beat Port.

ie if Bris beat Pies, Pies will play winner Ade/WC.
We'll play winner of THAT in SYDNEY Prelim.

If Pies beat Bris, Bris will host winner Ade/WC.
We'll play winner of THAT in SYDNEY Prelim.

BUT the problem is ... Whoever WINS Coll/Bris will play THEIR Prelim in Melb cos if we beat Port WE will be higher (having beaten 1st place team) and host prelim I THINK. Maybe they'll still look @ round 22 and say Bris WAS higher than Syd so Bris @ Bris & Syd @ mcg???? Stupid contract!
Sorry, but that's not right. The AFL will not bank a preliminary final (ie one MUST be played at the MCG) so...... if we beat Port and in the tight to host a Preliminary final we will play at the MCG if Brisbane beats Collingwood (because Brisbane are ranked higher than us on the ladder). If we beat Port and Col beats Brisbane, then we will host our PF at Telstra stadium (seeing as the MCG quotient will be filled by Collingwood hosting their PF).

The biggest bummer is that if we host a prelim and Bris beats Coll - then, in all liklihood we will be hosting Collingwood at the G! howw dumb is that?

(Loser of Bris/Coll plays winner of Crows/Eagles at home)
