    Sunday Sydney get together??

There is strength in numbers so........
Any Sydney based RWO'ers interested in watching the game together on Sunday?

    If so - where?

I guess the Alexandria would be the logical choice given reports from the weekend past?

Not sure if I can make though, being Fathers day, got to go do the visiting thing. Will have to settle with watching it on a much smaller TV with the aunts, uncles, cousins etc interupting me and making uneducated comments
Here's my heart and you can break it
I need some release, release, release
    We need
    Love and peace

Shouldn't all that be over by 3pm?

I don't have that problem - they are supposed to pamper ME, but never do. COTOB's first words on Sunday morning (or probably afternoon by the time he appears) are likely to be "Can I borrow the car Dad?"

Getting back on the subject, if there's going to be a turnout of RWOers then I might be tempted to make the trek south to join in.

JS, I won't be there, but there were a couple of RWOers there on saturday and I reckon more will go this weekend. It was worth the trip. Also, if we have a place that is supported, it will thrive. Harry has good plans for next year and I reckon he should be encouraged with our attendance.

I'm working on it. It's hubby's family so I have to play it by ear at the moment. They have 2 get togethers a year with the entire family. Fathers day (for Pop) and Christmas. When I played soccer I could get out it usually, but this ...... don't know.

Do we all take red or white rose so we know who each other are??

LIVE BIG SCREEN @ THE ALEX

Last Saturday, over 50 Swans supporters raised the roof at Harry MacAsey's Alexandria Hotel as the Swans took control of the match against the Demons. It was a great place to be, with plenty of atmosphere, cheering and team instructions such as "Kick the ****** ball!"

It's on again this Sunday afternoon

                  SYDNEY SWANS
                  VS
                  PORT ADELAIDE

                  Live on the big screen

                  Good food at reasonable prices
                  Beer at half SCG prices

Get there early and enjoy a meal in the garden bar before joining the crowd to cheer cheer the red and the whites.

Got an email from the Swans saying that their official place of congregating on Sunday will be the Fox and Lion.

                    a) because its closer
                    b) i'm guessing the cuter girls will be there

                    I'm going to go there.

Which RWO'ers are going to be there because I would love to put a face to the name.

hows the fox and lion for watching footy games? The screens arent really that visible (are they??) and the drink in pretty expensive.
Has anyone been there for games that can tell us what its like?

                        Lemee figure this out.

I could go to the Fox & Lion, support Rupert Murdoch?s business interests, pay over the top prices for crappy beer (they don?t sell CUB products), in a ?plastic? environment, that will likely be crowded with tourists and others who are not interested in the footy.

                        OR

I could go to a pub that sells beer at public bar prices, support a publican who played for the Swans and is trying to develop his pub as a Swans supporters place, drink VB (or any other brand), in (maybe) less salubrious surrounds than the F&L but with a crowd of footy fans providing an (almost) match like atmosphere.

                        Hmmmmmmm.

You can't hear the commentary. It's not just Swans supporters who are there so they talk through.

At Harry's, people are there for one purpose alone.
