    A surprise maybe?

I reckon the selection committee, should contemplate bringing in McVeigh or Ablett, for this week's final. Both of these players are continually playing well in the 2's. They would bring enthusiasm, to a squad who may be a bit stale. Keeping in mind that McVeigh hasn't played a game, and Ablett just the 1 or 2 this year. They would go over to Adelaide and have a fair dinkum crack. Apart from that, they would gain valuable finals experience.

I know McVeigh is slight, but from all reports is a class act.

We have absolutely nothing to lose, all the pressure is on Port, not us.

    Just something to consider.

I'm with you on this Plugger.

Nothing to lose this week, so why not bring in Nicks and James or Powell and throw a curve ball to Port Adelaide and play McVeigh?

One thing McVeigh has is pace and running capacity, something the Port midfield have in spades.

Plenty of space at Moroon Park to let someone like McVeigh roam around in

      McVeigh. Interesting.

...but with our luck he'd do his knee and be unable to play for 12 months

i like the idea of at least maybe naming mcveigh, i dont know about playing him though... but risky IMO

id say include nicks, see him have a blinder and get the max worth out of him from a SA team in the trade period

its a hard one, id like to see thewlis come in, but that wont happen, what about dempster or macleski?

Thewlis is out for the season, injured.

I'd reckon Malceski and Dempster are no chance.

Nicks, James, Warfe, Ablett would all be ahead of them in the queue - and probably McPherson as well.

I'm not that sure about bringing in McVeigh, that sounds risky. I say bring in Nicks and maybe Ablett (I don't know, I'm confused as to who to bring in). Luckily I'm not the one making the decisions.

It's time to bring back Frosty, he is a class act when he's firing. McVeigh is way too young, skinny and a final is hardly the place to make your debut.

I doubt that it will happen, but Frosty is prone to playing well at Football Park. I think you will find that many (perhaps even myself) had written off Seymour until last week. Showed some good signs.
It's very hard to live in a studio apartment in San Jose with a man who's learning to play violin. That's what she told the police when she handed them the empty revolver.

I had Seymour written off as well but he showed promising signs. Who knows, maybe Frosty might come back and show promising signs as well.

Frosty had want to lift a little. He hasn't exactly been setting the world on fire in the reserves. But I guess if he gets in and attacks the footy and has clean disposals that's all we need from him.

It's hard to pick out of who we have available in the reserves. If Nicks is fit, definitely bring him in, his experience alone justifies this.
I love Heath, but is he really fit enough to step in. Apart from that I really can't see anyone else, maybe Stevens, at least it's another option up front.

McVeigh IMO is too small, he'd get monstered off the ball. Maybe it's time for Nog to step in, do or die perhaps. He has the bulk to fit in, it's just his form has been hot and cold. He's been playing well lately in the reserves though.

I just wish we had the option of McGlone. He is smallish, but I think he uses that to his advantage, oh well no use pondering that one ...

I don't think a game against a rampaging Pickett or Hardwick, whose raison d'etre seems to be to take out as many opposition players as possible, legitimately of course, is the time to blood a slightly built kid like McVeigh...You'd hear the bones rattle back in Sydney...
"Davis...Davis has kicked 2...he snaps from 40...dont tell me, dont tell me, hes kicked a goal....unbelievable stuff from Nick Davis, can you believe this, he's kicked 3 final quarter goals and Swans are within 3 points..."

Also, just had a thought....now that Ricky O is with the pies, Magic might be able to get him to smuggle in some spying equipment to alberton.... at least he could get him to nonchalantly hang around outside the coach's office taking notes when Choke-o is discussing match tactics.

Exactly! Port are huge and physical. Remember the last PA v Swans game? Prior to that game I thought the rain would help us. But when I saw the port players just shrugging tackles left right and centre, I knew I was way wrong.
Only 9 notes? How easy can it be!
