    Roos joins injury list

The QBE Sydney Swans injury woes continued last night when coach Paul Roos was struck down in the lead-up to the final series.

Roos suffered a ruptured achilles tendon (left leg) playing basketball last night and will undergo surgery this afternoon.

does anyone have bubble wrap?? If we pool it all together we may have just enough to cover the rest of the squad.

          I'd say it seriously hurts

Hopefully he'll be out of hospital tomorrow and be able to go on as normal. Might shorten the 1/4 and 3/4 time addresses though, taking a few minutes to make it down to the ground....

Tonight on White Line Fever, Foxfooty, there's going to be a two hour special with coaches and captains of the finals teams. I wonder who's going to replace Roos.
I guess it's one way of avoiding the media.
On another note, it's been mentioned in other threads that the Swans aren't getting much coverage. At least we'll get our 15 minutes, hopefully.

Makes you wonder what he will do if it's close at 3/4 time....by the time he gets out on the field, it will be the end of the break!

                I wonder...

Could Roosy stay in the box, but get permission to talk to the players over a radio or phone? Set up a speaker, and it's nearly as good as face to face.

Assuming Roos cannot get to the ground at 1/4 or 3/4 time, I have full confidence in our assistant coaches to deliver the goods.

My guess is he'll start heading down a bit earlier than usual. Anyone know where the coaches boxes are at AAMI?

Tadhg came on Ten News making a joke about how the siren to start the next quarter would go by the time Roosy gets down the stairs at 1/4 and 3/4 time LOL
Got a good sense of humour has Tadhg, as anyone who's read "Talking with Tadhg" on sydneyswans.com.au

So I assume that he'd be out for the season then, wouldn't he?!

Wonder who we can replace him with...........

When I heard the words Swans and injury in the same sentence again, thought "What now?" but the wehn I saw it was Roos I started laughing my head off. I don't think it will affect his coachign style, he'll just have to leave the coaches box earlier!
