Makes you wonder what objectives will be given to the team next year, given how we've gone this year. Will Roos still be allowed to follow-through on the second year of his rebuilding plan? Or will we be expected to be serious challengers next year?

I hope its the former (not that that necessarily precludes the latter) but will be a bit strange if we are the defending premiers!

It will be strange won't it, but I think we need to stick with it because Roosy's plan is to win several premierships.

Remember the sticker doesn't say "rebuilding" it says "Evolution" and we need to stick to our guns.

Great problem to have isn't it?

BTW, has anybody noticed the tone of Lizz's posts since she returned from Adelaide?

Did you catch something down there Lizz? Perhaps some of that Blood Red Euphoria that tore through the place on the weekend? Contagious stuff that isn't it?

        LOL

I guess my outlook has always been to be positive but realistic - I have no problem with others being ultra-confident about our chances, except that it frustrates me a little when the team then gets bagged if it fails to live up to what might have been unrealistic expectations.

But when you watch your team knock off the top ranked team, at THEIR home ground, and qualify for a home preliminary final, even the most measured supporter has to believe this could be our year!

Never doubted you as a believer Lizz and don't think you are at all over the top since PA, but I have noticed a little bit of "blinding passion" creeping in. hehe

I like it too because I know where it comes from. It is one thing to see a great win at home, but there is a certain "high" feeling about attending an unexpected,against-all-odds (one of the greatest finals games in VFL/AFL history) wins away from home!
