    In the mind

I had a little fantasy - if I had to address the players before the game, what would I tell them? I decided to quote Steve Waugh on Test cricket: at this level, 90% of the game is in the mind. After today, I wonder if someone said something of the sort to them. It was certainly in our minds, and perhaps not as strongly in Port's, good team though they are. And I hope they and SNdon belt the living suitcase out of each other.
He reminds him of the guys, close-set, slow, and never rattled, who were play-makers on the team. (John Updike, seeing Josh Kennedy in a crystal ball)

Self belief also. Even though no one gave them a chance, within the team they knew they could win and were very confident.
